yo LOK....ever try ring training? i was thinking about those gymnastic ring guys and came across some training clips of youtube...awesome stuff  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDHgTKK4Mvk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFwPKTvj1iM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl0uddDZvlE&feature=related
yeah, I have and I wish I had a setup at my house somehow! Those guys are strong! it takes crazy strength to do these things.. Iron Cross.. etc..
Eventually I will be doing sets of 25 in chins and handstand pushups. That will be pretty awesome!
I did my 100 and then played with my new weight system.. benching, squatting, more chins, low rows.. :bears:
Well, I did 10 in my warmup set today. Then I did 16 for my second set. That's because I wanted to do 5 sets of 13, but the first set I needed to warm up the tendons, muscles, and connective tissue.
2 sets of 15 so far today. Grease the Groove is the greatest thing since sliced bread!::
yesterday I did an easy 10 sets of 10 GTG is the bomb.. I'm using it for almost all my training now..
El quatro finito. I've got one left to do. That'll be 75 for the day. I think I may start doing them once every three days so that the other two days are spent bringing up my lagging handstand pushups.
I would also, but I've been noticing some weird pain in my triceps where the tendon attaches to the elbow, so I'm being double careful so that I don't throw off my overhead pressing schedule.
yeah man.. gotta watch that.. my weights are still 2nd priority to the one armed chin and hand walking
Mini-sets of 5 are good to get real height on a chinup. Even though both my arms are dead from doing the one-arm chins, I have enough in the gas tank to zip out 5 fast ones with serious height. I shoot almost OVER the bar when I'm doing them this way!
Well, today I did my first set of chins and it is 2:36pm here in the nation's capital. I got 16 on my first set. I would have killed for this a few months ago. ::
Today was a good day for me. I got my first set of 20. That's for the first time ever! I did a set of 8 to warmup, two sets of 17, and then nailed a set of 20. :bears: :bears: :bears:
REALLY? :eeeek: WHOO-HOO!!!! :: I thought you'd be all over that by now. You've been concentrating more on the handstand pushups and elliptical handwalking though. If I tried that, I'd be off to the dentist's office in about 3 minutes. ::
I should show you the first clips of me trying my ellipitcal handstand walking.. :: I'm lucky I didn't go to the dentist
Well, today I'll only do one set of chins to warmup, but tonight I'll be doing one-armed chins again.
I did my first 100 chinup Sunday yesterday. It was extremely satisfying. I also did 200 pushups and 100 situps for good measure. I still had some gas left in the tank, too.
That's awesome, I98. How many sets did it take you? I might start doing the same with handstand pushups once in awhile because I feel I'm reaching a sticking point. I usually have a bit of gas left over as well, but the next day my tank is usually a bit drier than usual. ::
awesome Irish! I did mine yesterday as well now that I can do sets of 10 easy, the 100 chin sundays are much easier.. 10 sets of 10 is easy I also did a bunch of pushups and situps:bears:
I guess I'm starting to go for more endurance because I want to be able to eventually do sets of 25 or more in both handstand pushups and chins. It's all just cumulative improvement though. Eventually I'll have to scale it back but not yet.
I want to be able to do 100 pushups straight (almost there) 100 hspu straight (halfway there) and 100 chins straight ::
