Many will disagree, but I go with Mike here. Early 90s Holy was too damn hittable and his pride and tendency to FIGHT BACK when hurt does him in here. He'll get his shots in but I think a peak Tyson does beat any version of Holy.

Yeah, it's a COMPLETELY different ball game for Holy going up against 80s Tyson. Holy fans will deny this, but it's true.

Mike would have known he was in a fight, that's for sure. Holy was too good and too tough to get obliterated. HOWEVER, 80s Tyson just has too many tools and physical gifts for Evander to win IMO.

There's one BIG difference that's very rarely pointed out. We all saw Holy able to push Mike back in 96. The reason for that was not only because Holy was roided and able to to bully Mike. It's ALSO because Tyson, post-prison, was a totally flat footed fighter who loaded up on single shots and thus threw off his balance.

It'd be a lot harder to employ that same strategy on the 86-88 Tyson because Mike was so quick on feet, so ON balance, and able to throw such an assortment of combinations, that Holy wouldn't have been able to push him back and rough him up in the same fashion as he did in 96.
