Why? Because it's an Entirely NEW Fucking Contract Neil...

Tank was Scheduled to Make ____ to Face MARES on 2/9...From the Moment Mares Pulled Out of that Contract, Tank's Purse DECREASED...PERIOD...

On a Week's Notice, Still Selling Tickets, Merch, Perhaps Ads, You REALLY Think a Promotion Would STICK to What they Initially Offered to Pay Tank, vs. a Considerably Lesser, Virtually UNKNOWN Replacement Opponent???:D...Uuuuuh, Okay...

It's Bad Enough You LITERALLY Believed a Disgruntled, Would-Be Errol Spence Suitor, When he Told You Al Haymon OVERPAID for What Amounted to a Biker Bar in Downtown Dallas..Now, You're REALLY Acting Like Tank's Money (or the Money for Any OTHER Fighter in the Same Position) Wouldn't Change in the Event a Replacement Opponent is Brought In???...

    Whatever Bruh...

Tank-Mares Was Held in a Smaller VENUE, but it was Certainly More INTRIGUING (On Paper) than Mares-Santa Cruz II, Which was Basically IDENTICAL to the 1st Fight...From Tank's Perspective, it was Going to Be the Biggest Fight of his Career, to Date...A SHOWCASE....A "Coming Out" Party of Sorts, his Intro to a LARGER Audience...

To Get an AGING, SMALLER "Name" in the Ring w/Your Young, Up and Coming Killer, Promoters/Managers/Advisors Have Been Known to OVERPAY to Make it Happen...

But You're Probably OBLIVIOUS To that as Well...

I think he received the same purse for ruiz as he was contracted to get vs mares. If he was somehow getting more, then whoever put up the money was really gonna take a bath

I mean, at least with mares dropping out the promoters already saved 900k to 1.4mil, minimum :emoji_joy:

It was a shitty mismatch in a venue less than half the size of staples center. I dont know anyone who was excited about the fight

Tank was a -1,000 Favorite Over Mares and a -5,000 Favorite Over Ruiz...

But Yeah, the Money REMAINED the Same...
