Abraham, Froch, Taylor, Kessler in a Showtime Shocker!

Don't worry. I should be the one worrying. If Taylor makes it to the final, I will be shocked to death.

 

No, I think Abraham is the biggest puncher of the 6, and if he lands right I think Arthur can put any of the other 5 in serious trouble.

Its arguable who has more power between Kessler and Froch. Kessler's punches are sharper, and more accurate.. but Froch overall probably has heavier hands than Kessler.

Froch can hit though.. and what I like the most about Froch is.. he's a finisher.

 

As would I. I'd take Abraham, Dirrel, Froch, and Kessler all over Taylor.

Taylor-Ward would be basically a pick em.

I like the guy actually. It wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit to see him win instead of any other guy but Froch.

And I'm pretty indifferent towards Abraham. I'm not really a fan, nor do I dislike him. I think he's a good fighter though, and he's live to win the tournament.

Kessler is obviously gonna be the favorite. The dark horse who could shock everybody and end up winning it all is Dirrell.

 

I have only seen clips of Dirrell's fights,...and I wasn't that impressed. He has height and reach, and obviously some pop in his shots. I would be shocked to see anyone other than Kessler, Froch or Abraham win this tourney.

 

I know I am being a spoiled brat. I should just be grateful that Showtime is putting this great shit together..........but I just wish I could replace Dirrell, Ward and Taylor with Bute, Andrade and Inkin.:crying:

 

::::If you are a fan of Froch why in fuck's name to you want to see him fight Kessler. If Kessler has herpes and the swine flu he beats Frock 10-2 in rounds. Honestly, he is getting knocked the fuck out by Kessler and getting drubbed in the process. Froch would be the easiest fight besides Scrubingham for Kessler. It will be as one sided as Gatti/Mayweather. They are two completely different levels. Froch is a poor man's Andrade and look what Kessler did to Andrade::::

 

Don't think for a minute that Froch isn't durable or tough enough to give Kessler fits.
Add to that, that Froch has the power to put Kessler on his ass at any time in the fight.

Kessler is INFINITELY more skilled than Carl Froch, but judging by his pathetic performance in his only fight on the big stage......he fought like a girl against Joe..

No doubt he could pitch a shutout against Froch 12-0. But until that final bell rings, Froch could be just one shot away. And my guess is that his chin is solid enough to force Kessler into FIGHTING every second of every round.

Froch is more skilled than Andrade was, even though Andrade is tough for anyone.

 

Exactly. You know the weird thing is, I always thought he looked fairly small at 160, and yet he has trouble making the weight? It's weird, I mean he actually looks smaller than most of his opponents at 160.

By the way, I'm picking Taylor over Smurf. He's simply a better, more proven fighter.

 

He has fought by far the better competition than Abraham. But he ISN"T more proven at all.

Abraham takes him out within 10 rounds.

 

The only fit Kessler will be caused is logistics of all the ice he will needx for his hands after he lands 2500 shots to Froch's big ugly dome. Froch is awful.

fROCH IS AWFUL. Honsetly, I think Andrade would beat him seriously. Kessler is about 5 classes better than Froch. Kessler/Froch wouldn't be remotely competitive. For that matter, neither would Taylor/Kessler. Kessler wouldn't need a late half rally to beat Taylor. He'd be shutting him out like he would Froch.

I know that Mikkel is infinitely more technically skilled than Froch. But does the infinitely skilled guy ALWAYS win? No.

I simply think that Froch, with his conditioning, chin, determination and heart could take Kessler if he landed flush just once.

Carl can punch and he finishes fights.

I can also see Kessler pitching a 12-0 shutout.

He looked better than Hopkins and Jones did that's for sure. Why I am discussing this with you I can't be sure. If you think Kessler fought like a girl against Joe than you obviously have yet to see it.

 

I'm not sure exactly what Ward's management is doing.

They moved him along way too slowly, too many soft touches, and now suddenly he's gonna jump to facing the #1 guy in the division?

It's not as if he's shown spectacular abilities to make you think he's ready for the jump in class.

Um, yes, he's far more proven. As strange as it was, Taylor has beaten an elite fighter in Hopkins. Abraham has never beaten an elite fighter.

What is Frock some kind of monster puncher now? Don't be absurd. Since stepping up in class he hasn't look particularly powerful against either Pascal or Taylor. In fact, he looked no more powerful than either of them.

His power is fairly average at supermiddle. Kessler hits significantly harder.

 

Jermaine will be granted plenty of time to get his faculties together against Arabham,... it's probably the best matchup for him, considering his diminishing mind,...

:bears: Dirrell, in just his 19th fight, will EXPOOOOOOSE Froch, it should be a delight,.. infact, it would be just delicious, for Froch to lose all his fights, as he considers himself the undisputed best, when in reality he's atleast the second worst of the bunch :crafty:, it should be a good reality check.

 

Exactly. Taylor almost did the job. I would not even pick Froch in a rematch with Taylor. He basically lost the whole fight until Taylor gassed.

I agree Kessler would batter Froch, but I dont see Froch going down without a good fight. A year ago I woulda said Kessler by TKO in a VERY one sided fight. Now I say Kessler by late TKO in a competitive fight, where Mikkel will be in control through most the contest, but afterwards he'll know he's been in a fight.

Froch is no bum.

 

This is exactly what I was wondering. Going off the competition that Ward has faced why wasn't Green included in it? Haven't Ward & Green fought about the same competition?

Also, as shitty as I think Ward and JT are I think they should have been matched up against each other first.
