It certainly is, yes. In fact I thought nard edged the first one.

However, what's beyond dispute is that Taylor fought Nard on even terms over 24 rounds.

    Than in itself is significant.

So would you care to enlighten us on how exactly Smurf is more proven than Taylor?

In no way is Abraham more proven than Taylor.

His biggest win is Edison Miranda.

Taylor's resume shits on the Smurf.

There are still some interim bouts before this thing gets underway.

Ward will get KO'd by some scrub. Wouldn't that be funny.

I don't really care for this tourney....they should just give Kessler the trophy or whatever.....

Now if they can make something happen at 140-147...then we are talking or at 122 Caballero, Juanma, Vasquez, Marquez...:partie:

True the fights were years ago, but JT did deserve the first fight on my card for sure. Albeit how close the fights were, a win is a win and if he never does anything in his whole career he'll always have that feather in his cap.

And what is ALSO significant is that he has performed miserably since then, let both Froch and Pavlik off the hook only to be KO'd for it.

To me, that is more significant because it is much more recent.

    Again..........Abraham retires Taylor.

Right, so how is Abraham more proven than Taylor?

That is seperate to who you think wins out of the two.

I am rooting for Ward being the Bay Area guy. But he is facing Kessler first who I think will win the whole thing.

Still, if the fight is in Oakland I am going. :hammert:

Kessler being pulled out would ruin the whole thing.

Sauerland should just sign every danish prospect that ever turns pro to screw with Palle´s family business. He ruined Larsen´s career, now he´s trying to do the same with Kessler. :flip:

Green might be better for US audiences, but Bute and then Balszay would be far more interesting substitutes.

If the winner of the super six goes undefeated in the tourney and is an undefeated fighter (not Taylor or Kessler), then maybe Calz would consider coming out of retirement to face him. Now that would be cool.

Yeah, but what else does Green have to do except wait for a call to be in this tournament?

word. It would just take the "super" out of the tournament, it would just be an elimination tournament for the two best guys in the division, Bute and Kessler, IMO

Yep, it sucks enough as it is that Bute is not included but to take Kessler out who has got to be the favorite is like having a contest for second place. or so it seems, on paper anyway.

It's too bad the mafia got out of the boxing business. It'd be interesting to see how soon they'd send someone across the pond to whack Palle.

Totally. It is over if Kessler is out.Allan "I shit my pants and faked cancer" Green aka Miranda Jr. traded for KessLER. What an awful trade. Allen Green should never be on tv again after he refused to fight Edison MiraNDA. I bet the Christians fought harder against the lions then the Colonless one.

Bute has a rematch with Andrade scheduled in Montreal. It's not a given that he will win that fight seeing as how he lost the first one in my opinion.

So is Kessler in or not?

Why would Palle be all up in everyone's face if a valid contract didn't even exist?

What do you think will happen?

same reason why Warren cried foul when Hatton left him, saying he had an agreement etc.... truth is, Hatton got fed up, he just wanted to be let loose.....same with Kessler
