Moorer made his fight a close fight by going to sleep in several rounds, as was his wont. Hill vs Maske started well for Hill but Maske came into it late on and closed the gap. The bottom line is that the right man got the right decision in those fights...so put that in yer Yank pipe and get high like Joe Cal.
It was decent knockdown, legit and all, but it's not like Froch was out on his feet or anything. He also shipped punches from Pascal without looking like going down.
So you make your point by pulling a few fights that weren't robberies out of nowhere? Whether you think Germany is fair and balanced or not the fact is this can wind up becoming just like the olympics where if a country feels they were cheated they will return the favor as soon as they become the hometown.
i guess haye vs. valuev was close if anyone actually paid attention. haha. didn't know dariusz's situation w/ his promoter. he was on the brink of losing vs. richard hall in both outings where his cuts were extremely severe and his eyes were both gatti'esque shut. was quite surprised that bum julio gonzo would be the end his run, but d-mich's deterioration was quite evident when an old fabrice tiozzo himself managed to beat the sHIT outta him before knocking him the fuck out.
No doubt Dariusz was washed up long before that and he lost the fight. Just saying that Kohl felt it was time to end Dariusz´ expensive reign, when he finally had proper replacements in the Klitschkos, Felix Sturm (who had just won his first world title a month earlier) and Regina Halmich. You can always tell, when something is up based on the German commentator, usually biased toward the style of the German fighter. If it´s Dariusz pressure is the key to win a fight and technical boxing is running, if it´s Ottke technical boxing is prefered, and pressure is crude. So when a German commentator constantly praises Jugo or Haye years later you know where it is headed. Prepare the audience for the upset. ::
i do, Carwin is from Colorado and i have actually met him a few times, very nice dude. I was outta town that weekend so couldn't watch it live, was looking forward to seeing the fight on my recording. regardless, honestly, its the principle of the thing. for all our differences on this board we are all binded by a common bond - the love of combat sports. if someone is really that inconsiderate, or just fucking braindead and idiotic, to spoil a result of any match - MMA or Boxing, they should be warned once and then banned for a year for the second infraction.
no offense Neil but that has nothing to do with the point people are arguing... at least i don;t think so. no one is disputing the previous 9 rounds
