Beat down by a euro bum that couldn'tt even beat Shannon Briggs. Yeah, Brewster is real good. Let's not forget this guy lost a decision to freaking Clifford Etienne. Nobody good loses to Cliff Etienne. For someone who supposedly has all this power, he couldn't even KO Clifford "dropped 5 times by Fres Oquendo" Etienne.

Wlad will employ his typical Steward Stink and win a boring and tedious decision. I'm hoping though that he gets smashed again so that I won't have to watch stinky fight anymore. I'm tired of Steward Stink.

Wlad can employ stink and still be exciting. At least he still knocks guys stupid. He hits hard enough that he can stinks until he stops the guy.

Let's not forget that Wladimir Klitschko got KTFOed by freaking Ross Purrity. Nobody good gets KTFOed by Ross Purrity.

When Wladibum gets knocked out, it's always in spectacular fashion. I like seeing that guy get laid out.

Just like Rahman. Wlad-Rahman would be fun to see. Wlad would most likely stop Rahman, but they're two of the most entertaining guys to watch get knocked out. Especially Rahman. You'd be likely to see a funny knockout at the end.

Exactly! His inconsistency will be his undoing. Hell he only beat Wlad the first time by sheer luck.

That's because Wlad back then wasn't good. He's good now and he'd murder Ross Purrity today.

well, mccline and brock aren't exactly the most exciting fighters either. mccline bitched out completely and brock did his best to survive.

ironically, brock-mccline turned out to be a decent scrap.

McCline was so intimidated that he actually acted like he was rocked in one round when Wlad feinted.

Ignoring knowledge and indulging in echolocation.
Brewster has very overrated power, Shannon Briggs sure brought that to the light, :crafty: Liakovich figured himself to be a hard arse after having just outslugged what America called "the most devistating puncher in the heavyweight division",...........it took just one slot to the head from Shannon in the first round of thier fight to change all that, Sergei pissed himself, it was a brutal re-introduction to the REAL hardest puncher in the division.

I thought he was pretty wild and sloppy. He landed good shots though, but I'm not sure even he knew where they were going to land when he threw them.

There have been rumours about this fight. That´s about the biggest bullshit HBO could pull off. Wasn´t the point of fighting Ray Austin to keep the belt and get set for a unification bout, if you turn around and fight Has-Been. :flip:

Rahman is utterly useless. No fight involving him is worthwhile, IMO.

    Absolutely true.

In life and in boxing some guys have to go to the dung heap, not fair, not right... but the reality and Rahman is one of those guys.

Rahman can't beat any of the belt holders. Rahman has all the physical gifts but for some reason his gameplans are just not executing right in the ring.

Someone else deserves a shot over Rahman, who was last seen stumbling around the ring after getting knocked silly (again) by Maskaev.

I said it would be a fun matchup because it's likely to end in a humorous knockout, but other guys deserve a shot at Wlad more than Rahman.

I really don't think all that much of his physical gifts. He is a pretty big strong guy with an excellent jab, but his speed is average and his chin and stamina are shaky.

His balance tends to be bad when he throws that right hand. I always thought very highly of his jab, but that's basically all I thought that highly of regarding him.

I've heard trainers call Rahman the "strongest" guy they've trained. People have seen him bench 500 pounds 5 times. He has a freakish 82' inch reach.

His jab is good and I think his right hand is pretty solid. But when I see fights like when he fought Ruiz, and Holyfield, I just don't believe in Rahman anymore. I'm glad he knocked out Lummox though, I'll always remember that.

Some time ago, on a goofy thread here Lok and I were both, half kidding, talking about the fact that Rahman has tremendous street cred compared to other fighters. I grew up with guys like Rahman. They are guys that nobody would ever want to fuck with... sort of like Mike Tyson in the ring. In my old neighborhood these were the guys that ran the numbers games and who took your baseball mitt and threatened to bury you in Central Park!

But ultimately they are not fighters. They are El loco, they can hurt people and they can fight freakishly good, but their nature is such that they are not ring fighters. That is the way I see Rahman. If Rahman caught Lewis on Greenmount Avenue in Baltimore? I would be willing to bet the house that he would destroy Lewis, but in the ring it is a different situation. It just does not translate.
