I can't stand Broner's sick obsession with Floyd.

Broner is entitled to his obsessions, it's the broadcast crew who get my goat up.

Floyd: "Broner only get attention cos he obsesses over me"

I can't wait to see Broner get his nauseating face bashed in.

I dont care what any of you mugs say, Gamboa would bash him :kidcool:

Broner looks fucking big at 130 though, and bizarrely seems to look taller than his listed height of 5'7.

SHORTER than Floyd, but TALLER than Pac...

DUDE IS A WELTERWEIGHT. Boner seems good just a cunt.MAX kellerman said people either love him or hate him. I AM IN THE HATE CAMP. I hate "Hippity Hop" personalities. The guy beats up a poor Mexican champ 3 weightclasses smaller and then talks about jewelry. No matter, he is a prime candidate for getting shot dead in a parking lot over nothing. HE WON'T BE MISSED.

I like Broner. Seems good-natured mostly. Not an asshole like Floyd. Boxing needs a few more "personalities".

Jury is still out on whether or not he's that good, I think.

He's not detestable like Floyd, but he is irritating, and the Floyd obsession is creepy.

How many of you would pick him over Gamboa?

Even if Gamboa loses to Rios, I still think he'd do Broner.

Broner is a stylistic nightmare for Gamboa.

Lets not forget, Gamboa is a midget with midget arms.

Yes he has fast hands, but he wouldnt enjoy his usual big speed edge over Broner. And Broner is MORE than fast enough to time Gamboa coming in, and most def has the power to hurt Gamboa.

I give Gamboa a better chance of beating Rios, than beating Broner.

Maybe, and yes, Gamboa is tiny, with short arms. I still think he has a clear speed advantage though. Broner doesn't look blazing fast to me.

Much like a size deficit, a big edge in talent/skill can overcome a style deficit.

If anything I would give Broner a better chance of beating Rios with teh slickness, and the fact he won't be that undersized against Rios.

Even though Ponce arguably beat Broner? :kidcool:

Broner seems good, but I think some of you guys are getting carried away. The best opponent he's fought so far arguably beat him.

People Need to Actually WATCH the Ponce-Broner Fight...

Ponce Gets Credit for what Broner WASN'T Doing in the Fight, Moreso than what he Actually Inflicted UPON Broner...

So Let's STOP Pretending that Ponce was IMPRESSIVE in that Bout, Because he WASN'T...Ponce was Brought in to LOSE, so he Gets CREDIT for NOT Getting Destroyed....Simple as That...Did he WIN the Fight???... Probably...But it's NOT as if Ponce IMPOSED Himself Upon Broner & WHIPPED his Ass or Anything...

How Many would Bet MONEY On Ponce to Beat Broner in a RE???...

Yeah it was a surprisingly negative performance, not exactly impressive, but it worked well.

Can you imagine a novice Floyd or any other elite fighter you can think of getting outhustled by someone like Ponce?

I know Broner is better than he looked against Ponce, but that fight is still hard to ignore.

I'm not really that impressed with him crushing scrubs half his size, I'll reserve judgement until he fights a solid fighter his own size.

I like Broner...wasn't a great performance against Ponce De Leon but I though he won. I think De leon received credit for not getting KO'd and I certainly think Broner picked off more shots than given credit. he wasn't as active as he should have been but he wasn't beaten down by any means.

As far as Saturday's fight...what more do you want from the guy? Going in guys were saying Perez shouldn't be as much of an underdog as he was, now that Broner destroyed him there's still fault thrown Broner's way.

if Broner and Gamboa fought, Gamboa gets his ass whupped. Hell, Rios would get his ass whupped to. All that would be said is Rios is a tough S.O.B. while all the while getting his ass handed to him along the way.

Rios doesn't have a long shelf life.

This is crazy, I can't believe I'm the only person who thinks Gamboa would bash Broner.

I think there's some severe Broner overrating and Gamboa underrating going on here, we'll see.

That's why they fight the fights.

Something tells me Broner doesn't have a good chin...i do know Gamboa leaves himself open and can be timed coming in.

I haven't checked, but i'd assume Broner would have a height and reach advantage over Gamboa. Gamboa reminds me a lot of Joan Guzman...lower weights had power and speed but as he rose in weight became very ordinary.

I'd pick Broner to carry his weight at higher weight classes better.

I dont like Broner. He's too much of a clown. His personality will gain him many fans but also many haters like myself. I want to see him get KTFO. He tries to be like Mayweather way too much. He needs to fight someone his own size. He looked easily 2 weight classes bigger then Perez.

As ARROGANT as Broner is, Gamboa has TWICE as Much, COMPETITIVELY Speaking...

Dude Probably Fights in THE Most Arrogant Manner SINCE a PRIME Roy Jones Plied his Trade...Hands by his Side, Chin LIFTED, Sitting on a PLATTER, DARING To Be Touched, STATIONARY in Front of Guys he LACKS Respect for...

Gamboa RELIES on his ATHELTICISM, but Broner MATCHES him in that Regard, has MORE Size & is More TECHNICALLY SOUND...

Neither Guy Would "Bash" The Other, N REED's Opinion, but UNTIL we See how Gamboa Deals w/Rios' Size, REED Would Side w/the Majority in Favoring Broner OVER Gamboa, @ 135...

And you accuse me of letting fandom cloud my judgement? This is a hugely distorted and fantastic take. Somehow in your mind the fact that Broner got a gift against Leon is notable most of all because De Leon could've done better? And somehow th absolves the loss?

I think Broner gets beaten up by Rios. He gets hit too often, unlike Floyd, and Rios will bring the kind of pressure Broner haven't dealt with yet wrapped in a big sized LW that is really a WW. Broner is not known as a mover, he stands ground and loves to trade, which is a no-no when fighting someone like Rios.

REED's Post Can Be Summed Up to a Simple Question, which (HOPEFULLY) You Can Answer...

Who would YOU Pick to Win a RE btwn Ponce De Leon & Broner???...1 Name OR the Other, Doub...

REED's ALREADY Stated that Broner "Probably" LOST the Fucking Fight...So How is that a BIASED Take???...Regardless, the Ponce Fight SHOULDN'T B Used Against a Guy who WON'T Even Be 23 Until July 2012....

Match them Up Again & Tell REED Who YOU Think Wins???...

Broner is MUCH BIGGER than Gamboa, just as fast, and more powerful.

Broner would just outbox him from outside using his long reach. No chance for Gamboa against Broner.

Gamboa has a better chance against Rios but I don't think he'll win that fight either.

I disagree about just as fast. Gamboa is much faster. Broner is quick enough, but not a speed demon. Gamboa has possibly the quickest hands in the sport.

I also think Gamboa is more powerful.

You're right, Broner probably does have a style advantage, but I just think Gamboa is better.

    Tale of the tape

    Broner Gamboa
    Height 5'7 5'5
    Reach 71 65
    Age 22 30

Even if Gamboa has a speed advantage, Broner is much more accurate and technically sound with his punches. Gamboa is really not all that skilled. He's just really athletic with hand speed and reflexes. He has no jab, his punch accuracy is erratic, and the only reason his mistakes haven't been exploited is because the guys he fights are so much slower than him.

Its hard to think of any clear cut advantages he'd have over Broner. I think he gets schooled rather easily.
