I think Jones looked better last week, than he did against Tarver and Johnson.

I think that Trinidad NOW could meet either guy at a "catchweight" of 170 amd win impressively.

If Roy Jones fights to win a fight, no matter how boring it may be........he beats anybody

Jones beats Hopkins. Hopkins just isn't active enough nor does he punch hard enough to beat Roy. Now as far as Calzaghe fight is concerned. That's a different story. Me being a fan I will go with Roy but if I were a betting man I would be foolish not to put my money on Calzaghe. However that will be money that I will be happy to lose. I'll Holla 5000

WTF is so funny? Tito is not getting any credit for fighting a very good fight. RJ didn't knock him out because he couldn't get it done. I believe Tito can comeback @160 and be very effective for 2-3 fights. Tito didn't belong @170, and after a 2-3 year layoff he did much better than what people thought he do.

roy won't be able to land those silly shots against hopkins.

i think hopkins catches him enough w/ his infrequent yet effective sneaky rights and does his usual rough house tactics to pull out a dull decision.

jones did not impress me vs. tito at all.

i'm not laughing about Tito, i'm laughing about this:

If Roy Jones fights to win a fight, no matter how boring it may be........he beats anybody

I agree if Roy wants to he can beat anyone

I was impressed with him AND Tito in their fight... But I agree Roy could have stopped him for sure had he put on the gas

so RJJ lost to Johnson and Tarver (twice) on purpose? is that what you're saying?

    nah.. he looked SHOT

and he prolly can get out worked still.. I think he shoudl avoid Pavlik

but if he is motivated.... I wouldn't rule him out vs anyone.. Roy is a phenom

well you don't need me to remind you that, "not ruling him out," is not the same as, "I think he could beat anyone." is it?

 Tito would never beat Tarver or Johnson. Tito is done, he isn't going to beat anyone that is any good.

Don't fool yourselves guys, Tito and Roy will ONLY look good fighting on the old timer circuit and Tito will ever be effective at 170.

I agree Tito can't do much @170 but he can @ 160! I thought he looked good.

He looked decent for about half the fight against a guy who threw no punches at him. You have to take into account the fact that Jones did nothing for the first 6 rounds. After Jones picked up the pace Tito didn't look so good.

    Exactimundo.

This is why I was so strongly against this fight in the first place- all the groupies of whichever (old and shot) winning fighter would come out, start shouting from the hills about 'their man being back' and suggesting that they are ready to take on top guys in and around 160-175.

The worst thing that could happen (and did) is that BOTH these old geezers looked decent AGAINST ONE ANOTHER, and so BOTH sets of groupies are giving it plenty.

How anyone thinks either of these fighters could live with any of Pavlik/Kessler/Calzaghe/Dawson/Woods/Hopkins is beyond me. These are ELITE guys fighting at the top of their weight class. Tito and Roy WERE elite guys, fighting for $$$ against each other in a multi-million dollar Las Vegas exhibition bout.

    Bizarre...:dunno:
