Perhaps he was listening to too many of cats talk so highly of Kessler. Or maybe at that time it was the fact that he was unimpressed with Calzaghe. But I just did a quick search and right after the Kessler/Calzaghe fight I mentioned how unimpressed I was with him and why so many on this website granted him as the man after losing a fight against Calzaghe. Couldn't understand that for the life of me. I'll Holla 5000

You think or is this something you already know? But let's just say for shits and giggles that the Calzaghe fight was the only fight I saw. I must be hella knowledgeable about boxing when I said that I'm not impressed with his skills. Or could I have seen a couple of his fights perhaps not quite as many as all you cats to make my point. Which is it. Did I pull some shit outta my ass or did I come to table with a little supporting evidence. I'll Holla 5000

Mister REED has shown repeatedly that he makes his own calls based on what he sees and thinks- I can't imagine him making a pick based solely on the opinion of other people :dunno:

Why would anyone with as much boxing experience as Mister REED pick an 'unimpressive' guy to KO a ten year, unbeaten champion coming off the back off his best win to date?

As I have said, Mister REED gets credit for his pick and for sticking to his guns, but he clearly once was impressed by Mikkel. You don't pick guys to win HUGE unification fights against a fellow unbeaten champion if you don't rate him. That just makes no sense whatsoever...

No, not at all. But after a loss so embarassing, certain fighters never fully mentally recover, I.E. Pavlik. Kessler doesnt exactly seem to have the mental toughness of Ray Leonard. But still.... his skill set figures to be too much for Froch.

You are the one who started the infamous thread of "Why would any black guy not support Roy Jones" or something of those lines, where you clearly indicated that reasons for not supporting him have to do with race. Do you deny that thread?

For the LAST Time, REED Picked Kessler on an Obviously FAILED Hunch, Because REED Still WASN'T Sold on Calzaghe, Even After the Lacy Bout...Since WHEN Do U Have to B IMPRESSED w/a Guy to PICK him to Win a Fight???...REED was only MINIMALLY Impressed w/Ward UNTIL he Beat Kessler Last Night...

AFTER Seeing how INEPT Kessler Fared Against Calzaghe's HANDSPEED, it DIDN'T Take Much for REED to Determine that Ward (a Fighter that Mathces Calzaghe's Handspeed & is even MORE MOBILE) Could ALSO Trouble him Enough to WIN...& REED Picked Accordingly...

Again, Picking Kessler to KO Calzaghe was MORE of a Statement on How LITTLE REED Thought of Calzaghe @ that Time, than How HIGHLY he Thought of Kessler...Dig as Deeeeeeeeeeep as U Wish, but there's NO "Logical Flaw" There WHATSOEVER...

Nornally, REED WOULDN'T Gloat like this, Baron...But Since U Mention Jaws, He Actually Insinuated that REED was a RACIST just for Picking Ward:shit:...As if there was NO LOGICAL Reason to Do So, Even Though REED SPILLED His Logic on the Matter in his Post....

& Then there's Mr. FEEBLE'S, who's Convincing HIMSELF that REED HAD to B Impressed Since he Picked Kessler Over Calzaghe:shit:....

REED was Almost a Man on an ISLAND, Questioning the MERITS of Kessler & he Caught FLACK for it for MANY Months, from MANY Posters....This is the Complete OPPOSITE of Jaws, who Felt the Need to Gloat After Picking a Guy that 75% of the Site Picked ANYWAYS....

Sorry if this Thread Distubs U, but REED is CLEARLY VENTING Here...DESERVEDLY So, he Thinks...

As for Baron, its good to see you lay your sack down alongside bigdawgs in REED's oral cavity. French Canadians and welfare queens go so well together.

Enjoy this momeny of glory where I was wrong, all it will take is for an "always overrated" white fighter to fight a speedy black fighter. Maybe after Froch/Dirrell?....oh wait...

Nuthugged the guy? Hardly. I picked him to win based on the fact that he had proven more than every other fighter in the tourney put together prior to it starting. It couldn't have been THAT illogical, seeing as the oddsmakers had the same opinion and make Kessler the favourite...

I'm not pissed at all, in fact, as I have no real strong feelings either way about this fight or either fighter.

I just don't for a minute believe that you really picked Kessler to beat Calzaghe 'on a hunch' and because you thought Calzaghe was 'unproven'. Are you really trying to convince anyone that you thought that a ten year champion, coming off the best win of his career, was more unproven than Andre fucking Ward? Make no mistake, Mister REED, I took the time to re-read those old threads PRIOR to making my original posts, because I'm not one for just presuming things, and there is PLENTY there which disproves this 'theory' of yours.

As it is, you changed your tune immediately AFTER the Calzaghe fight. You were indeed the champion of the 'Kessler is overrated' bandwagon and, it seems, you were correct. Kudos to you and, in the circumstances, feel free to vent if you wish.

But you can fuck right off with this 'I was never impressed' bullshit. You haven't been impressed for a while, but you were impressed enough once. Your saying otherwise is complete and utter horsehit.

Why bring my nationality into that exactly? And you seem to have reading comprehension problems here, I've just told REED he's above acting like the cunt you are, it's not exactly cosigning his thread. It's not because I like REED and get along with him that I want my nuts in his mouth Jaws. Quit projecting your fantasies about Free Ike on me dude, I feel dirty now. Now go away, pencil neck.

Does it Hurt THAT Bad to B WRONG???...YOUR "Moment of Glory" was Saying 'I Told U So" on a Fight that the VAST MAJORITY of the Site Got Right:lol:...On the Other Hand, REED has TWICE Flew AGAINST The Grain & Came Out ON TOP, just This Year ALONE...

Speaking of Race, Didn't YOU ALSO Pick Taylor (the SPEEDIER, SLICKER Fighter) OVER Pavlik???...Well, REED Not Only Picked Pavlik, But NAILED that Shit Down to the EXACT Round...

Last Night was just a Friendly REMINDER that REED is Infinitely SUPERIOR to YOU in EVERY Area of Boxing...Prediction, History, Debate, Reasoning, Logic, U NAME It...

Dude, NOBODY in America was Impressed w/Calzaghe UNTIL he Beat Lacy...AFTER that Fight, MOST Were, but Certainly NOT Alll...REED Fell into the Latter Faction...All that "10 Year Champion" Shit DIDN'T Prevent Calzaghe from Being an UNDERDOG on his HOMETURF, Did It???...& WHY was that???...Because Boxing Fans & the "Oddsmakers" that YOU Speak of WERE NOT Impressed w/Calzaghe's "10 Year" Reign, Apparently...

REED INCORRECTLY thought that the Lacy Beatdown was MORE a Case of Jeff's LIMITATIONS than Calzaghe's GREATNESS, So REED Picked Kessler by KO...REED Liked the EAGERNESS that Kessler Exhibited Towards Fighting Calzaghe & Even Mentioned it in an Article...

But AFTER Seeing how Kessler Coped (or DIDN'T Cope) w/the SPEED of Calzaghe, it WASN'T Hard to Imagine Kessler ALSO having Trouble w/Ward's Speed...Factor in Ward's YOUTH & GREATER Mobility than Calzaghe & REED Reached the Conclusion that he Did...

U See, it's Not JUST about who's Fought the BETTER Guys...Shit, Jermain Taylor had CLEARLY Fought BETTER Guys than Kelly Pavlik had, yet REED CONFIDENTLY Predicted Pavlik to KO Taylor in 7...DESPITE Being UNproven, Ward's STYLE Gave Kessler Problems ON PAPER AND ON Fightnight...

This is THE LAST Time REED will "Defend" WHY he Picked Kessler Over Calzaghe...Believe WHATEVER U Wish, REED Doesn't Give a Shit...The FACT is, REED was NEVER Impressed w/Mikkel Kessler & RIGHTFULLY SO....
