Why does everybody hate on Khan this much. He did fine last night and he is a tremendous athlete even though he isn't the greatest boxer

I was rooting for my undefeated boricua boy Roman "Rocky" Martinez to KO Nicky Cook. Another champ from Puerto Rico!:bears::bears:

Shut it Tam, we have every right to rag on a fighter as overhyped and overprotected as Khan.

And honestly Tam, I think I can speak for the other brits when I say that's only half of it.

The other half is that he is not likeable AT ALL. Outside of the ring he has the IQ of a fencepost, whilst being cocky at the same time. Not a good combo.

And inside of the ring, he fights like an amateur, he can't really punch.

He's just a flashy fighter with fast hands, the kind of fighter you usually dislike in fact. He's a Judah without a punch, and a far worse chin.

    Check out this article...

He's an annoying little cunt, read what he was saying. He beats a shot featherweight and he's all up his own arse. Little cunt.

Saying he would have knocked Barrera out "brutally" in the next couple of rounds

Sure thing Trashkhan, even though the multitude of flush shots you landed on the old featherweight did fuck all.

He should really have a bit more respect for a ring legend like Barrera, who was too old and too small anyway.

Expect Warren to put Khan in a title fight for the 'prestigious' IBC belt or some other crappy belt so they can call him a 'world champion'.:atu:

Nice win for Khan, too bad it's spoiled by the end result but there's no question he has tightened up his defence and offence enough where his strengths come to the fore, seemed to me that he wasn't really stepping into his punches, just score with frequent flurries...barrera needs to finish up though.

Funny to watch enzo beaten up again, have to hand it to him, he's on the end of a few nice highlight reel KOs...full of excuses at the end as per usual

Cook just doesn't have the chin to last at world level, Martinez is a very average titlist though

A bad evening overall for enzo calzaghe though, with a great KO of Bradley Pryce by Matthew Hall, great 2 round fight though

The Khan fight didn't tell us an awful lot

Not only was he fighting an old, out-sized Barrera, but he was fighting an old, out-sized and one-eyed barrera.

He boxed great though, pretty much faultless so i can't take anything away from him......it is just a shame that the cut put Barrera at such a disadvantage.

I don't think without the cut Barrera would have been in any immediate danger of getting KO'd....the fight would have gone on longer, he'd come on a little stronger and have more opportunity to land the one shot that can turn a fight around vs Khan

on the undercard....i felt sorry for Enzo Maccarinelli, just cos he is a nice guy who has had a lot of rotten luck over the last year.....but frankly he's not quite top class material......anyone with durability and a half-decent punch always has a chance against him......he didn't box a smart fight at all, and i think the KO was as much exhaustion as anything else....he could have won the fight easily behind the jab

Martinez isn't all that.....Nicky Cook was getting the better of things....stunned Martinez badly in the 2nd.....but he got caught by a cracking shot and then was a little too brave in trying to defend himself by trading with Martinez when he should have been covering up and holding

Who Khan fights next is an intriguing one.....they want to get him a shot for early next year....he's not ready for the current champion....i don't think he ever will be.....but if that is the target, then they either have to test him against a frindge contender and see if he is really capable at world class.....or, protect him (because he it only takes 1 punch) and put all the eggs in one basket, get the title fight and hope for the best

a fight i'd like to see is vs Kid Diamond....he's a proper lightweight....frindge top 10.....he'd be a dangerous opponent, but would give us a clearer indication of how good Khan really is.....because last night was a poor barometer

For a title, any chance of luring Moses? Is he any good?

Looking at the lightweight rankings, its too soon to put Khan in with most of the top ten lightweights, but Santa cruz is slow enough, Alex arthur is a fery obvious match-up, david diaz perhaps, zahir raheem - not enough power and too small, sounds perfect?

I think David Diaz would be a good fight to take to be honest, I think Khan could beat him comfortably as well, the guy can't handle speed.

But Diaz will apply relentless pressure and can take a beating along the way to deliver one or two hurtful blows.

Maybe you are right, but the way he beat Cook was highly entertaining, at least to me.
