It's disrespectful to Kov to call this Ward-Froch II.

Kov is better than that clumsy farmer at EVERY SINGLE FACET of boxing.

Not saying Ward CAN'T win. But he dominated Froch. I think Kov is too good for Ward to dominate him.

Outside of power, I don't see anything special about Kovalev. There are tons of holes in his game.

As much as people wrongly accuse me of hating GGG, I think GGG is more skilled than Kovalev.

In regards to comparing Kov to Froch, let's see.

Kov is bigger than Froch. Physically stronger than Froch. MUCH heavier handed. More athletic. Better handspeed. Better footwork. More fluidity. A more complete offensive arsenal. Better technical skills. And a higher ring IQ.

AANNDDDDDD..... Ward was 5 years younger when he fought Froch, and quicker.

    It's not the same fight.

Again, power aside I see Kovalev as an easier matchup stylistically. He's a very basic Euro stand up fighter. Ward has seen that all his life. Kovalev gives up his balance far too often when he's punching as I've said many many times. Ward staying a little closer might work to his benefit. Kovalev wouldn't be able to catch him at the end of his punches. It's safe to bet Kovalev is stronger on the inside but I haven't seen him fight on the inside. Who knows if he can do that.
