The animated film based on the popular game Angry Birds ended Marvel's two weeks reign and took an estimated $39 million to claim the #1 spot at the box office. While this is great news for its studio, the bad news is that it got not so great reviews (42% rotten) and its toughest competition, Disney's Finding Dory will be released in less than a few weeks. That means that the Angry Birds needs to making its revenues fast before it gets stomped by that highly anticipated film.

Captain America: Civil War had a 54.4% drop in its third week and descended to the second spot with an estimated $33.1 million for a current domestic total of $347 million, surpassing the domestic total of the other superhero showdown film. Not only that, this film has now surpassed the $1 billion mark globally, it ranks 4 among the highest grossing MCU films, #1 Captain America movie, 2nd among most successful MCU third parts, #19 in the All Time billion dollar club and in short, everything Rainmaker's favorite film wasn't.

In the third spot Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising debuted with $21.7 million which is a far cry from its predecessor's $49 million debut two years ago. They should have known that Chloe Grace Moretz is box office poison in every film she is in, but they didn't listened.

In the fourth spot the critics darling The Nice Guys had a disappointing debut with $11.2 million. While critics loved it, audiences who watched it were less thrilled giving it a so-so 'B-' Cinemascore.

Finally in the fifth spot Disney's The Jungle Book added $11 million to its arks for a current $327 million domestic and $857 million worldwide.

Rainmaker: where is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice?:dunno: Apparently it was retired from the screens or Warner Bros just decided to end its humiliation and not report its embarrassing earnings? It looks like it finished its run with $328.4 million domestically and a worldwide total of $870.2 million.
