Antonio Tarver says he was "poisoned" before the Hopkins fight

Atlas is horrible, mainly because he feasts on weak-minded fighters, in attempts to control their every move. the problem is that almost every relationship he has with a fighter results in either ruining their career, or feuding to the point of irreparable damage.

Interesting....do you despise those guys from personal/business interactions with them or just how they are/fight in general?

 

I don't think Teddy's track record shows anything good for his training career other than how he allegedly "willed" Moorer to victory over Holyfield (nevermind the fact that Moorer continued to sleep-walk after Teddy's speeches and showed more desire in the ring before and after Teddy).

He should stay behind the mic and talk about guys like Holly-field and "tall fighting 101", just don't rant about how bad mismatches are for boxing when he'll put his fighters in mismatches as well.

Teddy's ridiculous. He's a good analyst, and obviously, he has passion for the game that I personally think, adds to the telecasts that he does.

But let's face it. The guy is insane. Imagine if you didn't know English and you were simply listening to the intonations of Atlas's voice as he spoke. You'd think the guy was absolutely certifiable. He's crazy! Next time he starts ranting, try to tune out the words and just listen to the tone. The man's insane.

And the most annoying thing is how excited he gets when something he predicted comes to fruition. It's what he lives for - the chance to prove that he was right. Despicable.

And his grand-standing for the camera, at the expense of Micheal Moorer, not to mention Micheal Grant, was shameful self-promoting. He's a trainer. Nobody paid to listen to his shit. And I'm sure when Moorer hired him as his trainer that humiliation wasn't on the list of services he requested.

And when Moorer and Atlas appear in public nowadays you can tell Moorer hates him. And I'd hate him too.

 

I;ve never really personally interacted with any of the "Despised list" fighters, or even attempted to. there are some fighters whose fighting style I don't care for, but I like on a personal level outside the ring (spinks for one, Chris Byrd, Devon Alexander, Malignaggi, Junior Witter, Ricky Hatton, etc.)

I'd probably despise Miranda less if he were with another promoter. I generally dislike Warriors Boxing more so than their fighters.

I forgot to add Glen Johnson to the likeable section. Easily one of the nicest guys in the business, and I can't believe I forgot him earlier.

 

yeah, he was at his worst w/ Grant, esp. that one ESPN fight where he stood in the center of the ring for what seemed like 10 minutes after the fight was over, chastising Grant, who won the fuckin' fight! ::
