Burns is hurting Martinez to the body when he throws there, and he punctuated the 8th with great uppercut. 8th round definitely won by Burns.

Martinez won the 9th off the last 30 seconds of work, had Burns going a bit. Why is he getting involved? A point could come off for Martinez for a brace of shots after the bell, which he definitely had heard.

 

Burns won the 10th on super human effort and grit and clean punches...but that could be his last hurrah. He is finishing the rounds tireder and tireder. Martinez might need a stoppage, though. He is more than 2 rounds behind.

 

All that is missing is a KO either way to be a serious contender for FOTY.

 

Martinez got in two desperate swings at the end of the 11th....but he lost that round by a mile on clean punching. Martinez needs to stop Burns in the 12th, or at least drop him three times, but if he drops him once that would probably be for good. Burns ahead by a mile going into the 12th.

 

Burns pasted Martins for 2:30 of the 12th round, so Martinez punched him in the balls. Clock stopped with 27 seconds to go. Burns has won that by a mile. No home town BS, not even close. Burns has it.
