Anybody else think Froch's gonna knock out Ward?

Doesn't Nonito already have the same dealer as Ward? I think they're both ripping oxygen off hookers backs.

I like both fighters a lot. I like Kessler a lot. I like Abraham a lot and I hope he is able to show that he is better than the last couple fights imply. I like Taylor, too, although I'll be very surprised if he can show that he is better than his last couple of fights imply. I just think he comes across as a very cool guy.

Dirrell is the only guy who fell down my like-meter in this tournament. That tough-guy ghetto bullshit he demonstrated against Froch really turned me off and the way Froch handled it was impressive. This really pisses me off, too, because I've been a fan of Dirrell longer than anyone I know. I was sending off free tapes of him whipping some kid in the amateurs back when he weighed 125 lbs because I was so impressed.

A Ward win is better for the sport because the US will finally have a young p4p claimant that they and the sport desperately needs.

A Froch win is better for the sport because it will be that reminder that will (once again) show that fights need to be won in the ring, not on paper, not based upon comparisons to like opponents, not based on one guy having a more conventional style. And Froch's resume is just ridiculous right now and he 'deserves' to win.

I'm in the majority on this fight, though...clear decision win for Ward...probably 9-3.

I would like to see any of these guys pound on Bute afterwards though. Although I like Bute a lot, he should have insisted on being included in the tournament rather than taking the puss way out like he did.

Dirrell beat Froch, in my opinion. If you score that fight using a 10-point-must system, Dirrell wins. Where Froch get's sympathy is that he tried to fight. Froch won the fight, but he lost the match.

Yeah, I see it the same way. One of those 'who gives a fuck' bad decisions.

Showtime had Froch winning. Sky had Dirrell winning. The Yanks liked Froch, England liked Dirrrell....:dunno:

Dirrell killed any sympathy in any event with his subsequent nonsense.

Froch is OK. I used to hate me and he still pisses me off from time-to-time, but his resume is impressive, and his genuine desire to fight anyone is refreshing.

Froch seems fairly intelligent to me, for a boxer anyway. I don't think he's one of those guys who'll end up bankrupt and addicted to crack.

remember that bbc interview where he entered into a long digression about all the painting and decorating he was doing around his house? in midlands vernacular, the man's tapped.

Fair point. I guess I meant, hometown had nothing to do with the scorecards. Ward won that fight legit, and from what Kessler showed that night in terms of dealing with his style, the same result occurs anywhere on the globe, except yes with more warnings for headbutts.

Honestly, Kessler and Abraham were the two biggest disappointments in the tournament. Dirrell was the most unprofessional, but not sure how much anyone expected from him anyway (besides mikE ). But I expected a lot more out of Kessler than was the case, injury or not.

Abraham - just a letdown altogether. Was barely competitive and if not for Taylor being in tourney, quite possibly wouldn't have won more than five rounds altogether

Froch is too damn slow. Ward will fight safety-first and will do enough damage with minimal risk to ensure a clear, albeit boring UD.

Prime Hopkins...He'd have Difficulty w/Ward's SPEED, but he'd WIN the Infighting Battle, if Ward Dared to Employ that Strategy...

Prime Hopkins by Close but CLEAR UD...

if ward ever has a debatable verdict versus a caveman like ponce then you may have a valid point.

One of the most retarded things I've heard in a while.

Broner is nothing, he's not even close to being as good as Ward, or even potentially as good.

Broner's biggest test comes this weekend, against Rodriguez. That is one I want to see. I will need a link for that if possible guys.

Broner is unproven yet, but I do like his style. Now's the time to pit him in with some real competition. Rodriguez should be a stern test for him.
