Maybe when Ward's speed and reflexes have declined abit, but as of now, Ward beats the hell out of DeGale.

This isn't about who is more boring, it's about who is better.

Broner arguably lost to Ponce de Leon, PONCE DE LEON!

So how the fuck is he anywhere near as good as Ward?

He's not, he's a borderline scrub. I also think he's even more boring and negative than Ward.

    wtf

If you really hate DeGale, sure. He wouldn't win 1 minute of any round, it would be a complete domination.

but they have both won gold medals, that fight could get made as long as de gale turns his career round like khan. so its not completely unrealistic.

Remember, alot of guys on here don't think "cleaner punching" should be the major part of scoring a fight, which is fair.

wtf? While your main point is obvious and well taken, Ward is way better than Broner name me all the other fighters who've beaten DeLeon? You're acting like he's a bum. Ponce fought a smart fight against a young inexperienced guy and won on some cards...big deal. Unlike the Lopez fight when Deleon fights smart he has a chance against any feather out there. Gamboa hardly looked spectacular against him either if you didn't notice. The only guy to dominate Deleon has been Lopez who caught him cold early. So this alleged indictment against Broner is ridiculous.

    Fair point.

I actually don't mind Ponce De Leon, he's not a bum at all - but he's not very good at world level. Lopez did catch him cold, I think Ponce would do MUCH better in a rematch.

But Gamboa? Gamboa didn't lose a round, he beat him easily. There's a pretty big difference between not losing a round in 7 or 8 rounds, and arguably losing over the distance.

Again, Ponce isn't much at world level, he's a good litmus test for a world class fighter, and that's about it.

If Broner was legit he would have beat Ponce clearly.

Well i dont think broner did badly, i thought he did enough to win, i thought most of ponce shots were hitting gloves and shoulders.

Even if you think Broner won, you're telling you think he looked good against Ponce?

I don't see it, Broner looks decidedly average at world level.

To suggest he's anywhere near as good as Ward, he is a proven elite fighter now, is lunacy.

I remember being very bored with the fight as I was with the Gamboa fight. I think Ponce was being negative in both fights and it made it harder for the superior offensive fighters to get off.

I didn't even take that into the equation, and Ponce is a career 122 pounder.

Deleon is a really good fighter to be able to do that. I think when he boxes he's hard to look good against.
