Anybody watch the Jones/Trinidad countdown?

tito doesnt have much versatility in his game. perhaps he never did. hiring a new trainer will only fuck things up.

 

yeah i know it won't make a difference now...but a few years back..in the winky fight.......even after teh Hopkins fight..Papa Trinidad could still be in his corner..but bring someone else in that could've done thing a bit different...:dunno: Trinidad would not change much...he would not become a mover or anything but work to improve what he does well......

 

I pick Roy but there is a big difference in Roy's defense and Winky's. Roy drops his hands and relies on reflexes a lot more while Winky uses that shell defense that is hard to get through. Roy still has fast hands but his reflexes are nowhere near what they used to be. Trinidad will have some openings if he don't get KO'ed early. Mostly because Roy does spend time on the ropes as a fight progresses.

I'd pick Hanshaw but not with absolute certainty. It's not like he's ever beaten anyone worth a damn.

 

I'd wondered that myself for some time and I eventually figured the answer was no. However that answer doesn't hold much merit since I not only haven't seen Hanshaw fight but don't even know what he looks like.

the commentators are right..the speed is still there..but he can't get enough of them off in combination...but in round 11 at the 1:00 mark..Jones land a right hand/left hook/left uppercut combo look like his PRIME self...right when he hurt Hanshaw...

but if i'm Jones i would not try that leaping lead left hook shit...:nono: when he was in his prime he threw it knowing he wouldn't get hit..and it came out fast...now it look slow and counter worthy..but their against Hackshaw he threw it..but at the same time realize he can counter so in the middle of throwing it..he pullsback and covers up...

 

Even though Jones is past his best, what I liked about this fight, is that he was still throwing combos putting the work in til the end of the fight. He wasn't breathing that hard either, similar to how he used to look before the move to HW.
