One fighter after another ascending on the basis of wins over opponents who are grossly undersized and seemingly in a different weight class? These days seems like all a promoter needs to do is find a guy with a little talent and find him 3-4 opponents who are solid on paper but with the key distinction of being significantly smaller. For me, this trend ruins just about everything. It breeds contempt for the up and comer, overstates his abilities, and on top of that ill-prepares him for the highest level. And worst of all, it makes for uncompelling fights. Guys coming up this way or otherwise engaging in such practice: J. Taylor Berto JC Chavez Jr. Others? Doesn't this shit drive you crazy?
