Anyone here think Marquez is going to pull the upset?

If Freddie Roach was half as good a trainer as everyone thinks he is he would know that the reason they can't stop Marquez is because Pac doesn't use the jab enough. I have a feeling they think his improved right hook is the key but the fact is a big time jab used with big time frequency is how to do it. No other way they get the KO against Marquez.

Of course, because everytime Marquez has been KO'd before, it's been with jabs.

Now that he's juicing, who knows?

But based on how small and weak he looked against Mayweather, I think he's out of there before the bell ever sounds for the start of the 10th

One thing's for certain, Marquez will get dropped at least once.

Usually against Pacquiao it's flash KDs though.

The question is whether Pacquiao can ignore Marquez' sharp counterpunching and maintain the intensity he displayed against De La Hoya, Cotto and Margarito.

I'm looking forward to this one.

I do, however, respect how open the Marquez camp has been about their obvious juicing.

Manny's going to fck up JMM's timing in ways he couldn't in the first two fights. In the first two fights, JMM had Pacquiao completely figured out - timing and everything. What's amazing is that he lost both fights anyway. In this one, he's not going to find Pacquiao nearly as predictable, nor will he be able to time his counters as easily.

Pacquiao has improved, whereas JMM, because of age and size limitations, has degraded. That's why I don't think this fight will be anywhere near a competitive as the first two fights.

But it wouldn't be the first time JMM surprised me.

JMM is a guy that you discount at your own peril. He's full of surprises. He's a mini Bernard Hopkins in that regard.

I agree. Just when you're sure he's a feather-weight, he beats Juan Diaz in a slug-fest at 135. And just when you think he's a over-achieving lightweight, he's fighting at 147 against his come-backing stable-mate in need of a big but safe name.

He's a good fighter. But when it comes to 135+, he's not a factor. He had no business being in there with PBF. And though he has business with Pacquiao, given their 2 fights, it will be no less one-sided.

I think steroids and other PEDs have been figured out well enough to prevent that from happening, at least when you are talking about a 135 lb guy moving to 147.

Thing is, he isn't really a 135 lb guy. There is a limit to how far AAS etc can take you, and how you build your body along the way affects things as well. Being bulky is being bulky, JMM looks too bulky and will as a result most likely be slow.

I certainly have Stevey, but only on here. I just wondered if there was anything even more obvious on 24/7.

I don't think he really has a shot in hell but I hope it's a good fight

We need PAC to win so Floyd will be the one that gets to dominate Pac

Pacquiao would give your bitch Floyd a beatdown, and that's exactly why Flid won't fight him.

I can't wait until they fight so you PAC lovers can see that even though you might jerk off to him, doesn't mean anything in boxing

The thing is LOK, Floyd has less confidence than you in his ability to beat Pacquiao.

Quite simply, if he really fancied the job, he would have fought Manny already and collected his huge cheque.

If Pacquaio demolishes Marquez, Floyd will continue the DUCKING job. If Pacquaio struggles with Marquez, the higher the probability of a Pacquaio-Mayweather fight being made.

If Mayweather shows one bit of being difficult in possible negotiations, Pacquaio should tell him to fuck himself and ride into the sunset as the best FIGHTER of his era.

Then the only truthful opponnent for him would be Martinez. They can make the fight at 150.

I don't know about Arum's beliefs on who would win, but agree that if Manny was to lose to anyone he'd certainly prefer it not being Mayweather.
