Floyd deserves the criticism for the whole thing with 50. Not because of the whole "name-dropping a celebrity" (who cares really?), but because he chose 50 of all rappers to compare himself to.

:dunno: He was on the phone inviting some of his 'hollywood' friends to the fight....George Lopez fight was gay...."how mexican he felt during the DLH vs. Mayorga fight"... there was any of the usual patriotic feeling going into that fight...not like there is in Barrera, Morales, Trinidad, Duddy, Freitas,etc. fights....

 

That was because they are both hated. Not because 50 is good.

 

Isn't Floyd 30 or something? Do people consider that "young", or is just an excuse for being immature?

Because De La Hoya is boring and nobody cares. If it wasn't for the hated Freddie Roach that whole portion of the show wouldn't be worth watching.

I didn't have a problem with 50 being at Floyd's crib. I took issue with Floyd's immature behavior.

I don't mind guys with "flashy" lifestyles but Floyd has confused "flashy" with classless.

And like many have already said, Floyd disses himself when he compares himself to 50.

Floyd might as well hang out with MC Hammer, it's obvious he has Hammer's financial savvy.

 

The PROMOTION is ON.

De la Hoya appeared on the Tonight Show tonight. He is on the cover of Sports Illustrated along with Floyd. PPV channel is ALREADY showing a preview of the fight. ESPN Classic is also showing Oscar and Floyd's past fights.

It's starting to FEEL like a mega event!

 

I hope Brian Kenny interviews Floyd again on Espn and pisses his off.::

 

Just some things I picked up on or noticed....

Roach is offering cash money to any sparing partner that can drop DLH ...

Seems like Mayweather senior is really really pissed that Floyd won't drop his Uncle and use him as a trainer ..::
Floyd says "nothing against him by why should I change something that has been 100% successfull" He is right ... It just seems Sr. just don't want to sit this one out no-matter how he can get in the mix ...
I wouldn't be surprised if he showed up at Oscars gym to see if he can help him in some way just to be involved ..::

IMO Mayweather senior still has very fast hands for his age .....

I still find it find it funny the way Floyd is flashing his cash when Oscar is many times richers than he'll ever be. I know he's not directing it at Oscar, but to me it's like if Floyd were fighting Hugh Hefner and bragging about all the chicks he has.

 

Yes..flashing the money makes no sense....if it was at Hatton, Margarito, Cotto..okay i could undestand...Mayweather is richer than them...but DLH? ...Maybe Mayweather knows it's the last time he will have sooo much attention directed at him..

After watching that entire series broadcast my opinion of Floyd has changed alittle. I'm still a fan of his fighting ability, but he came off as a moron. It's different when you just see him in a normal interview, I mean you could obviosuly see he's cocky. On 24/7 Floyd comes off as child who's starving for attention. It was, well pathetic.

Did you notice how Floyd was trying to come across as a tough guy with his finger pointing and sh*t talking and then Bernard Hopkins stepped inbetween him and Oscar and looked down on him like he was a little kid? Pretty Boy knows his role. Trying to act tough in front of the wrong guy.::
