What's really funny is that Jaws tries to claim he is objective...but then he goes to these ridiculous and round-about lengths to stick up for the fighters that he is a big fan of.

 

Its funny, I dont really remember him being like this before... I was gone for a long time from the site and when I came back thats when I noticed the "new" jaws

Its easier to take his flat out dismissals of 99% of boxers who ever lived, because it is dashed with a self-aware humor and verbiosity that is entertaining. For that reason, though I disagree with him a lot of the time boxing-wise, I like Ike.

Now you are claiming that was said about a possible Pac/Nelson match-up.

In fairness dude, Broadway's one of the most knowledgeable guys on the forum and I think his meaning in the Sanchez thread was pretty clear - that he would be reticent about grouping Nelson along with Castillo, Codwell & Laporte as guys who were outright 'inferior' to Pac, if only as a matter of semantics and context. Sure Pac is greater, sure he was probably a shade better but the use of Nelson's name in the context you used it didn't quite fit. Yet here we are a day later and it we have a big drama about it? I've obviously missed some previous between the two of you or some sort of subtext to this but it seems like you're coming way unhinged on this whole thing.

I would never attack someone out of the blue. You are correct on that last assumption. BWJ knows old time fighters, but so does most everyone else on here, we just don't have any pretense about who's better between Azumah Nelson and Manny Pacquiao.

It would take alot of bitterness to suggest they are "practically equal" at all.

Its about public persona, my opinions are almost in no way diff. from my brothers about 95% of this stuff. Actually....it wasn't even Jaws who I was discussing this with in the MM forum...it was Double L. For some crazy reason...Jaws decided to grab one line of mine out of that discussion (that he wasn't even part of) and twist it around until it is nothing like what I actually said here in this useless topic.

I guess I must have stepped on Jaws' Pac-Nuthugging toes...which is the only explaination for how far he has been willing to go with this foolishness.
