Yeah, nolan doesnt think out the box because someone is shorter on paper LMAO. Honestly Hanzy, for someone as smart as you pretend to be, you say some dumb shit. Yeah, lets make bane a huge 6-5 guy who grunts and screams and is full of rage all of the time. THAT is cutting edge thinking right?

You got to convince the audience and stay true to the comics. If you can't, you've failed as a director. Bane is being played by a f*cking fruit. Nolan has f*cked up big time!

Probably won't be as bad as Bane from Batman and Robin though.

He does look small, no doubt. But maybe it'll work.

Not really. Nolan tried to make Hardy train like an Olympian but regardless, how is a 5'9 190lb guy intimidating when he's supposed to be this human wrecking machine and is shorter by like 3" than Batman :l2:

Nolan is smart. You dont need huge muscles and look like a beast to be scary. Bane is going to be as equally a psychological threat as well as a phyical one. Probably more so psychologically. I will question Nolan when he does something bad. Until then, i trust his judgement. All that being said, there are ways too shoot movies to make it appear someone is bigger than someone else. There are also things called Elevator shoes, which most actors wear.

Hardy isnt a little guy in his body. He has bulked up significantly.

Yeah, Bane was always really smart. That's why Batman and Robin was such a slap in the face (among many other things)

Yeah, Avengers was quite good but the sequel should be a lot better with the new villain. I like Batman too but Superman would f*ck him up.

Superman would fuck all the Avengers up at the same time too.

To be honest, I am wary of catwoman, but I trust her character to be woven seamlessly into the story.

Nah, Hulk would be a very difficult proposition for Superman based on how similar Hulk is to Doomsday. The bad thing about Superman is that he's a complete pussy without his powers whereas guys like Captain America without any powers were real legit fighters. Even Batman could fight for real.

Catwoman is going to f*ck up the movie. She's lame and always was.

You can tell she is going to play an Occupy Wall Street type Character. Poor Against the Rich, type deal. She will be there to fuck the establishment up. And Who is more establishment than Bruce Wayne?

I wonder if the name "Catwoman" will even be used in the movie. They might make some reference to her being catlike, but i wonder if they will just keep her real name.

Who cares what he is like without his powers. This remind of Bill's Speach in Kill Bill 2.

As you know, I’m quite keen on comic books. Especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating.
Take my favorite superhero, Superman. Not a great comic book. Not particularly well-drawn. But the mythology… The mythology is not only great, it’s unique.
Now, a staple of the superhero mythology is, there’s the superhero and there’s the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he’s Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone.
Superman didn’t become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he’s Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red “S†– that’s the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears – the glasses, the business suit – that’s the costume. That’s the costume Superman wears to blend in with us.
Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent? He’s weak… He’s unsure of himself… He’s a coward.
Clark Kent is Superman’s critique on the whole human race.

Superman is like the "tough" guy with the gun. In this case, Superman is the tough guy because he's got powers to hide behind, not because he's actually legitimately a hard guy.
We saw what the real Superman was like in the bar in Superman II, getting laid out by some 50 year old trucker.:l2:

For some reason it must be going over your head. THAT wasnt the real superman. The real superman has strength and has powers. It's not a costume. When he got beat up, he was stuck in his alter ego unwillingly.

I know what you mean Godfather. Superman while on Krypton is basically normal just like other Kryptonions. Only on earth is his strength and powers heightened in comparison to human beings.

Superman wasn't born Superman. He was born an alien named Kal-El who he was raised as Clark Kent by a couple of farmers. Clark Kent was the identity that Superman knew before he found out he was an alien---a farmer's son with good moral values who had to hide his abilities because his parents were afraid people would take him away from them.

Tarantino mischaracterized Superman, but I believe it was intentional (He was doing that because it was Bill's viewpoint---a condemnation of those Bill saw as being weak/inferior) because Clark Kent isn't Superman's critique of the human race---Clark Kent was a farmer's son who became the persona used to deflect suspicion so Superman could protect those he loved---the human race, his adopted people.

<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Clark wasn’t a bumbling, clumsy buffoon with bad vision and weak. that was what Superman was trying to portray. But it wasn’t the truth. When he found out that he was superman and needed to hide his identity, he chose those characteristics in order to hide. In order to blend in.

Doesnt change anything. And he would be a little more than a normal person on Crypton since he keeps beating the baddest guys from Krypton, while on earth.

28. Many comic book geeks would say that Thor would beat Superman.

what do you say since you are a geek?

30. I'm not a geek. I hardly know anything about comic books.

However, I heard that Thor has beaten...

Galactus, Silver Surfer and Hulk on different occasions in the comics. That's badass!

Now Superman is virtually invincible...but apparently he's powerless to magic, and Thor being a "god" can conjure up all sorts of magic and shit.

So maybe those geeks are right. :finger:
