    If you arent going to fight Floyd then you have two choices. Retire or Challenge yourself. Fighting scrubs isnt an option IMO.

    Yeah Martinez said he can catchweight either Pac or May at 156 lbs maybe Mayweather grows a pair an prove himself.....steal away some of that Pacquiao thunder by FIGHTING AND DEFEATING the UNDISPUTED Middleweight champion of the world....


    But we all know Mayweather and that's not going to happen.....of course IF Pacquiao fights Martinez at 156 there will be a few Mayweather groupies here bitching about the catchweight....

    I wouldn't mind seeing Cotto vs. Martinez at 156 though....Martinez might be too big/strong/fast/mobile but so what!!!

    Doubt maybe Cotto heart isn't into boxing anymore..because it's been 5-6 months since his last fight..and no talk about who he is fighting NEXT....by now I would expected talks about fighting ANGULO or CINTRON...but nothing..


    and if Arum is thinking about a Margarito rematch that won't be for at least another 6 months...

    Unless cotto worked on that stamina, he wont win. Margarito will keep coming. Cotto's face wont look as bad, but he could still get KOed.

    Shortly after bagging his eighth world weight division title, Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao announced that he is ready to fight World Boxing Council middleweight champion Sergio Martinez. The Argentinian boxer recently scored an impressive round knockout victory against American Paul Williams.
    Pacquiao (52-3-2 win-loss-draw with 38 knockouts) explained though that he would most likely fight Martinez (46-2-2 with 25 knockouts), another bigger opponent at a weight below 150 pounds. Despite the disadvantage in height and reach, won against Mexican Antonio Margarito on November 13 in Texas via unanimous decision.

    “I’m willing to fight anybody,” said Pacquiao to reporters during his homecoming victory in GMA 7’s Studio 6 Sunday. Besides Mar-tinez, Shane Mosley and unbeaten American Floyd May-weather Jr. are also in Pacquiao’s list as possible next opponents.

    Pacquiao, who assured he’s good for another bout after six months, said he is very much willing to take on Mosley since he’s a good fighter and a champion or even Mayweather if ever he accepts the challenge.

    But Martinez said in an interview by Boxingscene’s Lem Satterfield he would not face Pacquiao, saying it’s a mismatch and the Filipino too small. His manager Sampson Lew-kowicz agreed, saying Martinez would knockout Pacquiao easily.

    If ever Pacquiao turns Martinez into one of his victims, then the congressman of Saranggani would hold the distinction of being a world champion in nine different weight divisions—a record that could stand forever.

    When asked to comment of his possible bout with Juan Manuel Marquez, Pacquiao said, “No one would watch it.” He added that he wanted a guaranteed price if his promoter decides to push through with his third fight against Marquez.

    After conquering Margarito, boxing fans all over the world are yearning to see Pacquiao fight Mayweather next year, a match that many consider as the “bout of the century.”

    We know who they are. And its a waste of Pac's time man. Nobody wants to see those fights. Pac would fight those guys, beat them and people would just say they were green. Berto is very green to be fighting pac. Bradly and alexander are only a factor because pac is making history.

    Pacquiao would have an easy time w/ either Bradley or Alexander...the fight should happen because some people have such a hard on about Pac not fighting slick african american fighters. Other than Mayweather these two are the most skilled "winning streak/best in form"-rjjrp4p#1 african american boxer in or around 140-154 range...


    Berto is fast and aggressive...but he can be OUTBOX and he can be hurt..Pacquiao will do both to him.


    What Arum should do is make a fight vs. the winner of Bradley/Alexander and put it on NETWORK TV...bring some life back into boxing...

    He said he is willing to fight anybody including Martinez. The DEMANDS will be from the Pacquaio camp. Question is will it financially be worth it to Mr. Martinez.

    Berto, winner of Alexander-Bradley and Marquez won't make much FINANCIAL sense. I don't want to see a year and a half go by with Pacquaio beating these guys.

    Well cotto has a New trainer, and i think Cotto has earned the right for a rematch. LEts not forget that for the pac fight, Cotto had a very inexperienced trainer. And Steward said that Cotto's footwork was terrible. And that is what they have been working on. I have a feeling cotto and manny have been working very hard on his training and that is why the long silence from his camp.

    Martinez already said 156....but Martinez can probably make 154 and fight there...but it better not be for the MIDDLEWEIGHT championship....
