Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Official Teaser Trailer

Aquaman was the surprise though, he literally only had a few seconds and it was a cameo of a cameo.

 

That's what critics are saying. They totally loved the Wonder Woman scenes as brief as they were. Now people are hyped about that Wonder Woman movie next year.

Just got back from the movie theater.

Total waste of time. Boring as hell. My girl hated it too.

Storyline was stupid and for all the hype it got, it failed to live up to expecations BIG TIME.

 

FB posters are split on this film! So far we got two posters that liked it (Sly & Dork Maggot) and two that hated it (Joe King & puerto rock). Any more people who have seen it to break the tie? :dunno:

You and I usually like the same movies, so I'm confused too. I'll try to watch it again. Last 3rd of the movie was good but 2/3rd were boring and dragged on. Kind of like Ang Lee's HULK.

 

Her role is overrated. She was okay. Beautiful woman though.

 

Well, it turned out to be the let-down that we all expected.
Snyder's previous Man Of Steel was an interesting movie for the first 2/3 then nose-dived into an utterly ridiculous punch-up between two seemingly indestructible yet utterly uninteresting characters.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice: a slow-burner start, heavy script, just never got going.
Lex Luthor (played by the irritaing Jesse Eisenberg) turns out to be excatly how he played Mark Zuckeberg in The Social Network: irritating.
Lois Lane - failed to have any life put into her by Amy Adams, Alfred was okay by Jezza Irons and the real only standout was Batman himself - good outing by Ben Afleck.

Otherwise, too long, too bogged down, too many dreamy/flashback / hallucogenics.

Solid attempt but ultimately mediocre - I dont think this movie will be looked on in a positive light over time either.

Funny thing is that I liked the script and found it compelling; I was never bored. The build up was interesting the way they got the kryptonite made sense, Batman's anger made sense....and even Doomsday made sense. The only weakness was...

Superman only fought Batman because Lex threatened to kill his mother. That took away from the whole fight.


Batman was very dark in this film...he was a mean son of a bitch. Ben Affleck did a good job in the role.

Funny thing is: DC comic book fans almost universally love the film. In fact many of them are saying it's the best film ever made.

Then you have everyone else who is luke warm to it. fascinating. Well it was a film that was made for the DC fans and it delivered.

I'm slightly more a marvel fan boy than a DC but I like both and wasn't disappointed in the film at all. I'd watch it again.

 

Actually, it was a movie WB were banking on to try and push DC movies onto a level that allows them to compete with Marvel.

It's delivered financially and won't put any obstacles on for 'Justice League' - but crtitically, it's been so-so, as per my mini-review.

I watched it again Panchy....sometimes when I'm undecided about a movie, I give it a 2nd run.

I admire what DC and Snyder tried to do, in same way with Man Of Steel - I absoluely loathed the look of that before it xame out and was susprised at how good it was...until the Superman - Zod smackdown.

I just think Superman's a really hard character to make interesting: a goody-two-shoes who can't be hurt excpet with incredible intellect / money to locate pieces of Kryptonite and weaponise it...

 

yeah the boy in blue is a boring character . Overpowered and only weakness is kryptonite. Not much you can do with him.

I would like to watch the film again though. I liked it.
