    Yeah...

    Whitaker-Chavez and Lewis-Holy 1 were "draws" too.

I'm not saying I disagree with you on proxy wins. I hate it when boxing fans claim so and so fighter would beat another fighter from a different era as if it was a fact. I remember when people would accuse Roy for not fighting DM and say he was ducking and avoiding him. Looking back now it's safe to say DM had no chance vs prime Roy and I'm the biggest Roy hater here. I feel like Andrade showed his true colors vs Benevidez. All that talking and at the end didn't back it up. The age can change, the weight can change but Andrade's heart would be the same vs Canelo at 154. When the going got tough he would most likely quit again. He has that quitter in him. That's why I think Booboo would lose vs Canelo at any weight class.

I don't blame Canelo for not fighting Andrade, Morrell or Benavidez. Neither was a big name nor had they earned a shot, untill now... Benavidez in the last year or so has clearly earned his shot though and is without a doubt, the most legitimate opponent under 175, by quite bit. Unless he fights Beterbiev or Bivol next, there us no excuse for Canelo not to fight him next.

Is it me or does it seem like Canelo is held at a much higher standard. How long did it take for Tyson vs Lewis to get made? Or Crawford vs Spence? At what point does a future hall of famer get to wind down and enjoy an easy touch now and then without his critics breathing down his neck to fight the next "big challenge". As a Canelo fan I always heard people say he was scared to fight so and so only to prove them wrong each and every time. Lara, Jacobs, GGG, Plant, Charlo ECT. And now it's Benevidez.

He's one of, if not the highest paid fighters in the sport. He talks shit in his own understated way. And he holds belts. Why in the fuck should he have soft touches? Especially from a fan's point of view.....what kind of fight fan argues for soft touches? There's simply no defending Canelo at this point if he doesn't agree to face Benavidez.

(Nearly) 100% agreed. I think it's ok for a fighter in Canelo's situation to get a relatively soft touch from time to time when he's fairly active. Canelo however, is barely fighting nowaday and he already got his tuneup not long ago in Ryder

In other news Andrade is moving down to 168. It makes sense there's nothing for him at 168. He doesn't have the power, chin or skills to deal with the guys at 168. Let him take on old Lara and Janibek those are more winnable fights. His legacy at 168 was getting dropped by a journey man and stopped by El mounstro. Not bad lol.

    Andrade can't beat Janibek.
