....i don't think Hopkins deserves this fight.....he should work his way up through the cruiserweight ranks.....it is unfair on the other contenders in the division.

[IMG] True,..that was paranoia on my behalf,...:nono: but it's so obviously an easy points victory for a sprinting, shoulder-rolling, pot-shotting, clincher like Hopkins that, I thought you may have had an agenda.

Trinidad had more skills than Adamek...but as he moved up he used them less and less....

Hopkins can win this by picking his spots and setting Adamek up for counters, the guy is a plodder who doesn't move his head much. This can be a hard fight if B-Hops lets it get that way.

yeah really. this is a fight made out of necessity - not because Hopkins is looking to make history. It's his way of turning his back (no pun intended) on Chad Dawson, who with his fast hands, would certainly put a fly in the ointment of Hopkins' criminal style (much the way Taylor's and RJJ's hand-speed did).

I hope for his "efforts" Adamek puts Hopkins on his face. I think Pavlik's a good fighter, but he doesn't shorten his right hand or have the timing that Adamek does.

Just watch Adamek's perfectly timed and placed right hand that put Banks on his azz - this in the midst of being hit with by Banks himself.

Whoever said Adamek is chinny - I'm not sure where that notion came from. He was buzzed a few times by Banks but Banks is known to be a hard hitter and was the bigger guy.

And it's not like Adamek is fighting fringe guys. Like REED said he beat Belle (probably the hardest puncher in the division), Cunningham (an obviously tough opponent) and now the previously undefeated Banks who studied under Emmanuel Steward and clearly has knock out power.

Adamek, much moreso than Pavlik, has the chance to time Hopkins' rushes and when he does my guess is Hopkins won't be unaffected.

So while Adamek may have similar characteristics as Pavlik in his approach, I think he's a better and more well rounded fighter with better timing, more accurate punching, and certainly bigger and harder hitting.

I hope Hopkins gets what's coming to him. I don't usually say things like this but I'm looking for Hopkins to be carried out on a stretcher when this one's over. The executioner gets executed. What a sight that wiill be to see.

Adamek is no John Ruiz, ape. He's a solid CW champ.

Even though it did indeed help alot, it was more than just speed in my opinion,.. as to why Hopkins found himself 'disconnected' against Taylor,... Jermaine did two critical things effectively,.. he didn't 'follow Hopkins' looking to trap him on the ropes or in the corner,.. he followed him to just on the fringe' of Hopkins LAUNCHING range,..and then STOPPED...lol... it was one of the best non-violent OWNINGS in boxing that I've ever seen,.. Hopkins could do nothing but try to box fairly with Taylor's hands,..and he lost. Taylor also 'timed' the back of Hopkins head resting below belt level,.. even still its very difficult to hit, but Taylor smacked and snicked it a few times,..

Calzaghe?.. .. it's a myth that he has fast hands in my opinion,.. he likes to think he does,.. but he really doesn't... he's slower than both Hopkins and Taylor,... it was his relentless, undeterred workrate, and his freak ability in measuring distance, and subsequently timing taps around Hopkins head while he'd do that illegal shoulder roll shit,..which worked for him, he to a 'degree', didnt come straight in, and used cautious half steps, but unlike Taylor,...Calzaghe made it very, very difficult for himself, he still pulled it off, even though Hopkins was BANKING on Calzaghe simply just trying to outwork him,... in the end ...Calzaghe hybridized his original dumb plan, with some cautious adjustments,..and Hopkins can consider himself owned,.. Calzaghe "fought his fight" ...and still won.

My prediction is that Adamek,.. just like Pavlik the monorail,.. will look to plod forward gettin' it done with his strict, upright, European 1 - 2,... ..Hopkins on the otherhand..will have an intense concerntrated camp aaaalll to do with just this,.. ..and will sprint around the perimeter, looking to counter with that lead right pot-shot which, (even if it doesnt mutate into a clinch) is impossible to counter in kind,..with Hopkins left hand glued to his chin and his head down (his chin is also 'tucked' as his forehead is conveniently pointed towards his opponent at all times),..and when he's not pot shotting,.. Adamek will have no answers while leaning in trying to hit Hopkins while he performs that shoulder roll shit... which will result in Adamek getting hit with... the 'sr'/hail mary combo ...or the 'sr'/ jack-in-the-box-headbutt combo, both launched from the corner where Adamek has to come straight at Hopkins (not that Adamek knows how to do anything else around the ring, which makes him an ideal pick)..

Ofcourse Id love Hopkins to be out cold,.. but ...as far as this messageboard goes,.. maybe Id like to see Hopkins warned a few times then disqualified,...that'd be equally as nice given the conveniently vague stance of this messageboard and it's degenerative Pro-Hopkins 'all about winning' attitude.

About the funniest things I've read is Kauki trying to convince the world that Taylor somehow owned, outboxed, destroyed Hopkins. When Double L is the only soul half agreeing with you it kind of puts things on perspective.

"but unlike Taylor,...Calzaghe made it very, very difficult for himself"

Well Calzaghe's plan was to outwork Hopkins,.. in order to do that you've got to 'fight Hopkins fight' and walk through Hopkins gauntlet of stink trapping,...is it any wonder why "All Hopkins opponents work-rates are reduced!" (the auror of a mysterious legend, how does he do it?..it must be magic? :shit:)... Calzaghe more or less fought a fight that favors Hopkins illegal style,...but Calzaghe was relentless and undeterred in his workrate. Whereas Taylor, effectively disabled 'the gauntlet'... ..but still had to deal.. with Hopkins spoiling feints and outstretched, head-down/lead-right, pot-shots...that can't be countered,... it still enabled Taylor to fight Hopkins square on,... ...the alternative is to chase Hopkins and allow him to dictate the distance and walk into his shots or rocket headbutts..

Calzaghe clearly won the fight and controlled the 2nd part of the fight and won the championship rounds. Taylor got two highly controversial wins and clearly lost the championship rounds and was hurt more than once. You're such a bullshitter.

Props to Hopkins for pursuing a fight like this. He is doing what all boxing fans want.........pursuing titlists.

Only way he wins is to outfox Adamek..his speed won't be a factor.

Main Events has a deal with the Prudential Center and Adamek has shown he can bring fans to the venue...and Atlantic City is struggling right now, as is Las Vegas.

REED is correct, I asked The Champ several questions and he indeed said
Adamek is next, and complimented my memory when I told him I thought he will stop Adamek in similar fashion as he did Joe Lipsey.[IMG]

that angle isn't very flattering, stinger. it shows off your liquor neck in addition to your stadium. no way hopkins lays the bigger adamek out like he did lipsey. that's pure, unadulterated dick riding from a so-called "journalist".

I respect Hopkins for moving up another division to fight another world champion...probably the best at that division....

IF Hopkins really wanted to please the fans...and do what we WANTED he would fight CHAD DAWSON....another titlist and in his own weight division...and much bettter than Adamek..

    I'll bet I can break "Neil's'" neck.

I will be in Austin on April 4th for the GBP card for my little internet stalker, since he obviously has a problem with me, and since he does, he needs to settle it with me like a man and quit following all of my posts here.

    Grab your balls Neil.
