What defense? And Berto's footwork is shit. He has faster feet then Lacy had sure, but thats not saying much.

I see Berto as being a LESS talented version of David Reid. I say less talented because Reid had better technical skills.

Oh so now his defense is worse than Lacy's too:lol:?...and David Reid and Berto have NOTHING in common aside from fast hands. What kind of "Technical skills" did Reid have that are so lacking in Berto? No one claims Berto is the second coming, but he's a good fighter who's well rounded and he's not an easy fight for anyone. Is that what constitutes a "fraud" nowadays?

    Ummm no.

Pac would give him the Hatton treatment.

Floyd would take target practice on him and stop him within 8.

He'd be clinching ole Shane for dear life, but eventually Mosley would land something big and knock him cold.

You said he'd be a hard fight for anyone. Those 3 would beat him with ease.

Furthermore..... its not given he'd beat Clottey.

A Cotto that has anything left stops him late.

Tall Paul fucks him up badly and stops him.

Cintron would have a legit shot at knocking him out if he can get that right in.

I'd favor him over Bradley... but Tim would be a live underdog.

If Devon Alexander has a good chin, I think he could upset him.

Clottey and Cintron are wins for Berto and this version of Cotto would probably lose to him too.

So a fraud would be favored over Tim and Devon? Do you see how much of an idiot you are calling him a fraud?

He'd only be favored over Devon and Tim due to his considerable size edge.

In a P4P sense, both Bradley and Devon are better fighters then Berto. Theres a very good chance thier skills would overcome Berto's size and flash.

Berto wouldn't beat Shane, no fucking way.

I would also take Bradley over Berto.

Berto is bigger, but I don't think it would matter that much, it's not like Berto is huge or a monstrous puncher.

Bradley is just better, he'd consistently outland Berto for 12 rounds.

Berto has multiple wins over Bradley in the amatuers. Berto would bust Bradelys ass man.

Doesn't mean much. I mean sometimes it might, but generally it doesn't.

Amateurs and pros are just 2 different things.

Not only is the required style and scoring different, but what you have to consider is the fights were a LONG time ago.

Some fighters make a better transition to the pros than others, I'm sure you've seen this.

Some fighters improve dramatically in the pro ranks, some don't, and stay at a similar level to where they were at in the amateurs.

From what I've seen of Berto and Bradley in the pros, I'm pretty sure Bradley would win.

He's slicker, more skilled, more technical, more seasoned, and has a pretty good chin and recuperative powers.

The only thing he lacks is a punch.

The Pre-Margarito Cotto would have put a savage beating on Berto. But the current version maybe shot. We have to see in his upcoming fight.

Berto also beat Dirrell as an amatuer. Should he get into the super six?

    Henry Tillman beat Tyson twice...

    Augie Sanchez beat Mayweather...

Hahaha, I didn't know about Berto beating Dirrell. I was going to mention the second 2 examples, but didn't think it was necessary.

It was mentioned during the broadcast (Dirrell was ringside). Manny Steward said it. Steward knows Berto is garbage.

if you listen closely to what he's saying he knows berto doesn't have a good chin as well.

    Apparently not.

He's an undefeated bum who's lucky to have a title belt....

Sure there are, he's not a scrub, but he's not an elite fighter either. I thought he lost to Collazo, close but clear.

Seriously though, I think he would be better suited at 140 if he could make the weight. Fights between him and the top 140 pounders would be good, competitive fights, and would be pick em fights too, against Alexander, Maidana, Khan even. The only one I would confidently pick to beat him is Bradley.

he beat him twice...obviously in the amateurs you're kids and some kids grow out of divisions and some don't.... like Calzaghe beating Byrd for instance or Ivan Calderon beating Miguel Cotto.

he's just a roid-raging loader-upper. guy belongs in MMA with boxing skills like his. Berto is crap. believe it. he's everything that's wrong with the sport of boxing. and i'm not referring to his personality, and i'm not insensitive to the plight of his relatives in Haiti. i'm simply saying, the guy is a hack.
