camacho wouldve posed a stylistic problem for whitaker that is why he was SHAMEFULLY avoided by cloggs boy.

macho wouldve matched the speed and knocked whitaker dead with a single left, then snorted a pile of blow off sweat pea's prone corpse, center ring

I side with Cdogg on this one.

Camacho would have held his own with Pea for about 4-5 rounds. After that, Whitaker would figure him out and dominate him.

That's prime-for-prime though. Camacho peaked in 85. Whitaker's peak was 89-93. By time Pea was in his prime, Camacho was past his.

Whitaker would have cracked Camacho's ribs and then knocked him colder than a pint of Blue Bell with a whistling left cross

'83-85 Camacho Sr was an elite fighter, imo.

Aside from the guys that were consistently great for most of their careers (eg Hops, RJJ, Floyd, Pac) I'd say '86-88 Tyson. '78-80 Duran as well, because although he was great before and after, he wasn't the same after the 2nd Leonard fight. And '65-67 Ali - same thing there, still great after prison but never quite the same again

I don;t see what is elite about Camacho 83-85... He had won great win in an ideal style match, other than that it is ho-hum opposition
