    Patrick Dempsey starred in hit comedy flicks as a teenager in the 80s like 'Can't Buy Me Love' and "Loverboy". It was that fame that landed his tv career. He also starred in the box office hit 'Enchanted', but then newcomer Amy Adams totally stole the spotlight and no one remembers he was the leading male character.

    Lorne Green was a solid actor that unfortunately got typecasted for his Bonanza role.

    Robert Conrad made a few movies but all flopped.

    Peter Strauss was a very good actor, but couldn't crossover to the big screen.

    John Hamm is stuck on tv and on film only had secondary roles.

    None of them near the best but all decent picks. Still waiting on Hamm though. I feel like he's been on the cusp for awhile but can't quite get over the hump. He might be destined as just a solid character actor in movies with the door still open as a lead in TV.

    Shit, peak Andre Braugher may be one of the best, if not the best TV actor in history. I think dude figured he wasn't gonna make it big and just put it in cruise control for the last couple decades or so.
