Blended (2014) Well, I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining this movie turned out to be. After all the disastrous reviews it got and bombing at the box office, I had more than low expectations when I watched the film with the Panchy tribe. While not great, the film works for the most part. Sandler & Barrymore characters were interesting, the kids were good too, most of the jokes were good, others were not. Any working parent of more than one kid can relate to many of the situations here. Bella Thorne was very good as the Tom Boyish Sandler daughter. And the African choir lead by actor Terry Crews, who always pops up at key moments to sing about what's going on, was hilarious. The not-so-funny recurring joke of the big boobs lady shaking her rack, was out-of-tune with the film. The story is formulaic and predictable, but nonetheless engaging. 7/10
