They were both great fighters and more importantly great for the sport.

Unfortunately it always seems people have to take a "side".

    REED's 100% right though.

If Rebel was a better and smarter forum owner, BF could have remained the best boxing forum on the net - because it was the best for a brief period after S/O shutdown. But he fuckin blew it.

Rebel turned off a lot of valuable posters (like me) and resulted in us joining here.

Had he run that place the right way, I'm not sure I would have left BF to come here.

It's Fine for POSTERS to (Respectfully) Take a Side...But In Terms of MODERATING and/or OWNING a Site, Those Biases Should Remain Close to the Vest for the Sake of TRAFFIC and DISCUSSION...

    Rebel Could NEVER See That...

Faaaaaaaaaaaaar Tooooooooooo Many Youtube Channels are Similar...Which is Funny, Because REED Gets Emails WEEKLY to the Effect Of "I Just Unsubscribed from Your Channel Because You Talk About _____ Tooooo Much"

& Literally, You Could Insert "White Fighters", "Black Fighters" "Non-American Fighters" or "Mixed Martial Arts" in the Blank...It's ALWASY 1 of Those 4 Themes..."Hating on Floyd" is Another Complaint:Jest:...

But Fuck That, in the 3+ Years REED's Done Youtube Related Content, There HASN'T Been a Channel Covering a More DIVERSE Spectrum of Combat Sports...So REED Doesn't Even Try to Win Back the Disgruntled Unsubscribers...

Taking a Side is Normal, But If You're HOSTING In Any Capacity, it's THEabsoluteWORST Thing You Could Do...

A lot of them probably assumed that because you're a black boxing pundit w/a YouTube channel that you're affiliated with Lions Den Boxing Community.

And as I said once before, even as a brother, I do NOT fuck with them clowns.

I cannot get down with jocking EVERY black fighter solely on the basis of them being black, and hating on every single non-black fighter in the sport.

To the LDBC, if you say ANYTHING at all critical about Floyd or Wilder, you're a sell out. If you don't believe Wilder's fucking COMICAL conspiracy theories, you're a sellout.

Oh well, guess I'm a MF sellout, cause fuck Floyd and Wilder.

Rebel Put EGO Over His Site...

Ultimately, If You're Looking to Entertain "Patrons" @ Your "Establishment", You CAN'T Expect Them ALL to Be Cut/Paste Versions of Who You WANT Them to Be...Not if You Desire a Measure of LONGEVITY, That Is...

Devise a CODE Of Conduct, Enforce it ACROSS THE BOARD, But Otherwise Shut the Fuck Up and Get OUT of the Way If You Disagree w/Someone's BOXING Opinion...Or Debate Them HONESTLY, w/No Threats of Bannings @ Least...

Rebel was 100% INCAPABLE of That...

I wonder if he ever regrets it. What BF could have been. Like I said, for a very brief period (like 02) BF was the best boxing forum.

Boxtalk was the top forum and rebel single handedly ruined it, spamming every topic with porn and poached all the members

I'm not familiar with BoxTalk - was that your first forum, Neil?

Cause I know REED and myself followed the exact route - both of us started on S/O, then BoxingFanatics, then here.

Hitman was quality. Was Valdosta there, or did he not show up until BF?

I told about a year ago that the Roy-hating dipshit Valentino dropped off of the face of the posting planet many years ago. He was one bitter, arrogant prick.

Dosta is free to post here whenever he wants. He still appears once in a blue moon, but I don't think I could sway him. He's a BF'r for life.

Valentino was a fuckin lunatic. There were a FEW times when I enjoyed going back and forth with him - in sort of an intense, but friendly rivalry. But I remember near the end just really disliking him - dude was a fuckin dick. I wouldn't be surprised if he offed himself, he seemed miserable.

    Yup...

When REED was Contributing to Pugilism Company, They Reached Out to Sarge About Collaborating on Some Shit, But The Overall LACK of Knowledge and Respect for NON-Black, NON-American Fighters, Collectively, was a Major Turn-Off to REED, Regarding the LDBC...

Mikey Garcia vs. Bunny Easter Started the Downward Trend...Pretty Much EVERY LDBC Dude Predicted Bunny When it was CLEAR ASfuckingDAY (To Anyone That Actually KNOWS Boxing) He Would Be a Relatively EASY Win for Mikey, Which he Was...

REED Got Some Side Eyes and "Tom" Labels for Picking Mikey Anyways, & COULDN'T Have Cared Less:Jest:...

Wilder-Fury I was Another Telling Moment in the LDBC-Pugilism Company Relationship...CLEARLY, Fury Pocketed More Rounds and Wilder was Somewhat FORTUNATE to Get a Draw...REED's Post-Fight Video was in That Vein, the Response was the Same as Mikey-Bunny & REED COULDN'T Have Cared Less...

There was an "Andre Ward - Coon" Phase Not Loooooooooong After, Because He Echoed Similar Sentiments of Wilder-Fury I...REED Clashed w/Them Over Ward, Naoya Inoue, Anthony Joshua, Favoring Pac OVER Floyd, NOT DickRiding Tank or Dev Haney From Jump, etc...

78Sports and BlueBloodSportsTV are Tolerable, BlackFightFanTV is Hit or Miss Comically, But REED Can't Say He Digests MUCH LDBC Content Anymore...They Don't Care About BOXING, They Care About BLACKS IN BOXING...Thing Is, the 2 AREN'T Mutually Exclusive, Yet the LDBC Won't Have It Any Other Way, it Seems...

REED Loooooooooooooves his Black Fighters, But You Gotta Be More Than JUST Black; You Gotta Not Only Be GOOD, But Consistently GOOD!

BlueBlood is the only one who's tolerable, and even he subscribes to the ridiculous Wilder conspiracy theories. But short of that, he's ok and seems like a decent cat.

78Sports is a clown cause he's the main one pushing Wilder's theories.

But you're right, they generally aren't boxing fans - just race-baiters who bait on the stupidest shit.

Don't get me wrong, there IS still racism in boxing, and when it's apparent, I'll call it out.... but they just reeeeeeaaaaaacchhh and make race issues out of nothing.

Dante's Boxing Nation, he's another fuckin clown. That dude swallows a pint of Floyd's jizz everyday.

Princenaseem.com. was where it was in the 90s. I was there from '97. Then Mustard and Hairyson Ford turned up in '98 or so. Gutbestuckt & Buddy Rydell around '99. Most on that site were Naz haters. Then one of the regulars started boxingpress.com in '99 and we moved there. Boxingpress.com was sold & changed to secondsout.com a year or two later.

Well ill be damned. The more you know.

I wish I had known about the concept of boxing message boards as early as 97..

    Unfortunately, I didn't catch on until 2000.

It was treated as a forum is now but it was actually a guestbook run by one of Riath Hamed's associates. It was pretty brutal and the guy didn't intervene much no matter how anti-Naz it got.

Between '97 and '00 you could post on every boxing site on the web during a lunch break. I posted at Kronk, Fernando Vargas's site, ESPN boxing and a few others. Most were guestbooks. You didn't need a password or anything. Then a few sites got hacked and there was a poster (Capone) that was stealing posts and reposting them as his own all over other sites and most sites started requiring passwords and usernames around 2000 or so.

It seems awfully convenient that boxrec would crash within the same week that this Fightbeat site decides to announce itself to the world.

    A little too convenient... :emoji_unamused:

    Fightbeat is like a Roman lion pit and I just generally let the lions work it out, and they usually do. Of course I mean these types of lions;

As for views, they are not based on individual user and could literally be one or two people looking at a thread over and over and over, a bit like the politics forum.

In a similar vein, there's a forum called "Time Out" in which a poster with a male dominatrix for an avatar keeps spamming lesbian porn and videos of a guy crashing his head into a ceiling fan. Perhaps that should be non-viewable to the public as well.
