The only thing that boxing needs is a more objective scoring system, one that would allow/mandate more 10-8 10-7 rounds based on dominance, and generate a tangible incentive to actually put serious hurt on your opponent.

Also we need to award EVEN rounds where they are due.. no more of the rounds where the common forum description is "close round, but I gave it to fighter A based on his __________ , but really I could see it going either way " Should be even, becuase if you aren't sure as fuck that one guy won the round then it shouldn't score points that would create a controversial decision.

Thus we avoid fights where a guy beats the shit out of his opponent for 5 rounds, then has 7 rounds 'stolen' in a running or hit n hold fest. Scoring under this system would award the W to the guy who visibly wins the fight, as well as create more action packed fights... very simple.

Interesting seeing someone advocate for more 10-8 rounds without knockdowns AND more even rounds.

Giving more flexibility to judges increases the chances for controversial fights/judging and makes it easier to fix a fight. I suppose it also increases the chances that the fighter that 'seems' like he won the fight, will win the fight.

Argentina provides for scoring like you want. It doesn't seem to make much of a difference, as far as I can tell.
