You make good points, however despite Bradley being the far better inside fighter, Khan has the speed, reach and athleticism to not allow Bradley many opportunities to GET inside. Also, Maidana was kept outside for long periods but always had the one shot power to change the fights momentum if he got through in the odd instance, Bradley doesn't have that weapon at his disposal. So therefore on the few occasions he breaks through, Khan can move away, reset, and go back to work without having to shake anything off.

Yet Bradley has a great chin. Amir doesnt. Amir's been KOed, Bradley hasnt. Bradley its hard enough to hurt Khan. He also has a better workrate.

Bradley doesn't have Maidana's power but he has two abilities which might make up for that IMO. Firstly he knows how to effectively negate an opponents jab. He does that well and consistently, and along with his footspeed those are the fig leafs to Khan's shrinky dink of boxing ineptitude. Secondly Bradley does something stylistically which Maidana (or Kotelnik) doesn't - fire back while under attack. Both guy's would cover up and or back off when Khan launched a volley & not take advantage of the brief periods Khan would bring himself into punching distance. Bradley is very good at blending defence and attack, which is another potential way we could see someone negating Khan's range.

Just thinking out loud, but I don't think 1-punch power is a necessity to beating Khan.

Khan is going to end up like Wladimir- a big guy with no chance of winning fights whose success is down to size and jab only....:giggle:

His chin isn't great but it's better than Amir's. Having better workrate doesn't mean much, because if they fight Amir will have a lot more oppurtunites to let his hands go, hes more skilled.

    No he isn't.

Don't confuse fast, straight punches and outside fighting with skill.

he won't be as good as Wladimir. There aren't many guys Wlad's size. There are guys Khan's size. he just has to fight them.

Witter is another possible candidate to tackle King Khan next, but witter is fighting next month so doubt that very much.

Maybe if you're Mario Kindelan, but otherwise I think there are very few guys who have any chance of winning a decision against Khan. I don't think Bradley can do it, but i'm not positive.

Instead of Sitting on their Asses, HBO has to Do a Better Job of PROMOTING these Guys...They SIGN the Fights but then Expect People to Tune-In JUST BECAUSE???:dunno:...HBO Could've had a 2-Week, Mini "24/7" on this Fight, Instead of Only Deeming HUGE Fights as Worthy of that Designation...

But Having Said That, REED is GLAD HBO Didn't Heavily Promote in this Case, Because the Fight FAILED to Live Up to Even the SMALL Bit of Hype it Received...

Promote? Promote what? A guy who says "Fah" when he "punches" and another guy who, despite his undoubted fitness, tenacity and overall ability, is more given to the stopping of waiters and buses than other fighters.

What they needed was a televised undercard. And not just any undercard but some quality fights. Something that will bring in all type of boxing fans. They should have a decent european fighter and a decent hispanic fighter. Fighters for all bases. And the fights need to be good. I dont know who is doing the matchmaking for the younger talent, but it needs to be better.

    Is it?

As for the Alexander-Kotelnik bout drawing 1.057 million live viewers... that is a good deal higher than the 897,000 live viewers that tuned into the Timothy Bradley-Carlos Abregu bout several weeks back on HBO.

I think a 2.3 rating is a bit less than 3,000,000 viewers. That seems about as good as anyone could have hoped with two non-punching fighters.

It's called 'Carl Froch Syndrome'. The guy looks like he should be really easy to beat yet the reality is that he isn't easy to beat at all...

Isn't that better than any rating HBO got in 2010?
