the last 3 rounds surely would have had to favor the more physical guy it seemed to me

People are forgetting.....Khan has absolutely no defence. He gets hit. Timmy is compact, deals with speed, and it seems can handle a lot of movement. The judges liked him a lot tonight, wide scores in a close, shitty fight.

What did for Maidana vs Khan was that he was down early and ran out of rounds.

Bradley would be teeing off all the time. He's fitter and more economical than Maidana.

That said............it seems unfair to be even talking up that fight, or detracting from Khan, after was was one of the worst American fights I have witnessed, ever. I've not seen a lot of them but that was fucking disappointing. Flat atmosphere, flat fight, only one man really wanted to be there.

that bout made me long for the days of McGuigan vs Stevie Cruz

I think hitting Khan often and smothering him may be a better plan than anything which relies on strict power. Khan is hittable, eminently so. So hit the mother. If Maidana could have subtracted his power for just a bit more volume over the last 3 rounds of their fight he would have won.

Again, it seems inapt to talk about this fight right now- tonights fight was a stinker and Khan thinks he is in some sort of competition with David Haye to see who can come up with the most onerous contract demands for their next opponent.

I really think, after tonight, that the class of Judah, Tszyu, Hatton, Cotto, were light-years ahead of this lot.

Cracking fight. McGuigan asked for his wife after that fight. She was sitting beside him when he asked for her. He also told his corner to "say a prayer for me" as he was going out for the 15th.......

I know everybody hates the twitter warrior(me included) but Tim Headley just isnt that good.

Con has a good chance of outboxing him IMO.

But if Bradley favors his health he better hope that neither Floyd or Manny picks him as an opponent. He'd take a terrible beating against Floyd, and Manny would make short work of him.

Only if Floyd has declined more.

The Mayweather that just beat Mosley isnt even a prime Floyd, but he'd beat the living shit outta Bradley in that form.

Bradley is just too sloppy to fuck with Floyd.

maybe as a sparring partner or he'd push floyd in training. Floyd would beat his ass. Well, I'm not so sure...he might turn Timmy's lights out before giving him an ass kicking.

The Floyd of the Hatton fight would KO Bradley within 7-8 IMO.

Floyd isnt that fighter anymore, but he'd still kick Bradley's ass.

How do you see Bradley-Con going?

Terrible fight, neither guy has power, Bradley is very average and Alexander doesn't commit to anything and fights scared. Very disappointing. Should've just called it a draw because neither guy deserved to win this farce.

    In for a quick nibble.
Well, to be fair, Judah was shit, always overrated on the account of his handspeed. Cotto had the nick-name 'skeletor' and staggered into the ring exhibiting the effects of bone-cancer, he were an emeciated willow droop as a 140 pounder,.. and Hatton had burned out as a mere prospect, even before fighting Tszyu, he looked like shit for his reign, incorperated a chronic pince, with a short and sharp fade-out near-after, a couple of factors were his frog-pouch inflation, and a propensity to literally leap into punches, like a territorial kangaroo or 'snow white boomer' as described by the Australian folk song. Yes, this bundle of white-rabbit was a mediocre champ at best.
Tszyu, was a stalking/timing expert, in the fact that he, preferred what is traditionally the most difficult style to deal with, 'quick-handed boxers', this ofcourse caused alot of resentment amongst forum members and Kellerman alike, but he was less than master-class, flawed infact, one-dimensional against capable maulers, sluggers and pressure fighters, a matter of time really. :crafty: Oh yes, the 'golden era' had it's faults, and I dont nostalgically pray for it's return,.. nor can I dismiss this lot,..:crafty: OH! just like the heavyweights!,...

140, currently has it's 'Zab "super-fight" Judah' equivalent though, they have that much incommon, the most overrated fighter in boxing,.. Marcus "kill da parki!" Maidana. :crafty:

Khan/Bradley will be a difficult one, but think Khan's speed and underrated power will get him through, but not undermining Bradley's work rate or power, as he will be a tough cookie to deal with.

Cow, you forgot to mention your slaughtered idol, the overhyped farce of a contender, Abdulaev, in your 'golden era' analysis...just a friendly reminder.:giggle:
