    Ajax shit themselves when it mattered most, that group will take a long time to recover from that choke job....surely an amazing opportunity for either team, Man City would gladly give back three points to Liverpool to be in their position

    I was watching the 2nd half...........Ajax looked like the classic, modern Ajax side. A bunch of street toughs and hard-youth cases who knew everything, a total contrast to how they had conducted themselves thus far in the tournament.

    First they were asleep, then they panicked, then they didn't take their chances, then they resorted to cynicism and time wasting.

    They had a corner on 92 minutes.....tried to be cute, and let it go out for a goal kick. Then their keeper was booked when all he had to do was boot it down the fucking park, practically on 96 minutes.

    A wretched 45 minutes.

    I still don't see Spurs beating Liverpool... Ajax gave this away as much as Spurs took it

    Contrast to yesterday's match where Liverpool took it to Barca and played as if 3-0 was merely a job to take care of.

    Both team are so familiar with one another at this point, plus add the one-off nature of a high stakes final, I'd say it's 50-50

    Unfortunately yes.

    And I cannot think of the last time that one English side won both league games and a European game against an English opponent in the same season.

    It might be Man United in 2008, vs Arsenal, when United won both legs of the semi final and I think both league games.

    Nope, United won one league game and drew the other in 2009, vs Arsenal, and then beat Arsenal in both legs of the semi final.

    Yes but now it's a one-day event, with 3 weeks of rest.

    Liverpool have been there before but we've fucked up before too.

    But how often do two English clubs meet up under those circumstances? More importantly, how many of those "a European match" are the actual European Cup Final?

    Liverpool have been here before and were done in last year by atrocious keeping and a deliberate foul on their best player (who, I needn't remind you was not playing yesterday) ... Spurs have never been here

    I understand you don't want to count the chickens ahead of time but Liverpool are the better side with more experience

    Spurs will feel this is all a bonus. Liverpool will feel the burden of expectation, especially if this weekend goes as many of us suspect it will.

    Liverpool still have to go out this weekend and play with an intensity.

    Spurs, thanks to fucking United and Arsenal, don't have to work themselves.

    I do feel that Spurs lucked it tonight, that Ajax handed it to them.

    Right now:

    LIverpool 1/2 {-200}
    Tottenham 6/4 {+150}

    Not exactly a lock is it.

    Juventus were 4.83/1 or +483 when they played Barcelona.

    They lost.

    Xavi was a wonderful player, all-time great for sure, but Iniesta was my boy, still my favourite Barcelona player.

    Up and down here like a hooers knickers.

    We could win the league on Sunday. Or lose it on Sunday. Or win the European Cup in June. Or lose it in June. On June 2nd, have everything. On June 2nd, be a fucking meme.....the team that beat Spurs twice, couldn't win the league, and then lost to Spurs when it really counted.

    I made £100 tonight. Who cares.

    It would be amazing if Brighton drew with Shitty and Liverpool beat Robert Plant's boys
