    Which one?

I know the parody..........which by the way was not supposed to have been uttered by Caine but by Sellers. However I digress........

    Which post?

Paul mcstay presenting the trophy, whole stadium singing his name, beautiful wee moment. Half the players clearly didn't know who he was but Kieran tierney did and he stopped for a wee second to give him a hug and savour some true steamy jungle love.

Well this has been an overactive weekend between various hings compounded on the walk home today by totally cunting it on a pavement while trying to send a text. Two skinned knees, skinned elbow cut hand, badly stubbed toe and utterly fucking exhausted, I feel like a 10 year old whos been out in the park since breakfast. Except really drunk.

They could ban clubs from being owned by actual states, but that won't happen. I'm not even actually sure what the solution is any more. The only thing that would bring it to an end is the bursting of the bubble, but I'm now largely convinced that this will never, ever happen.

It's a catch 22 as I see. The older, wiser generation of fitba fans who support the club their old man took them to support know they are having the piss taken out of them and that the game has fundamentally changed for the worse, but they cannot give it up because 'supporting the club is in their DNA' and they would miss the simple social aspect of it. Once all those drop down deid, in theory the state of play might change but only in so much as the younger generation, who mostly have no geographical connection to 'their' club whatsoever, will continue to 'support' whoever is doing well and pretty much every other club will wither away and die. I see it round here all the time - there are far more kids wearing Barca and Man City tops knocking round in parks and streets than there are kids wearing NUFC tops.

In twenty years time there is a very real possibility than only around twenty or so clubs will exist in the ordinary sense of the word IMO.

Agreed. It won't. IT's a ponzi scheme but it's customer base is the world population which keeps going up and keeps wanting something to cling to and believe in.

As I said, a super league, a big league

The others can survive only by downsizing and becoming minor league affiliates

The FA Cup was made financially irrelevant years ago... fucking YEARS ... in modern football, it's a minor trophy because you get less (like tons less) for winning it than you get for finishing 4th

If you gave the winner a CL place, you'd see a marked change in attitudes. Look at how seriously the English have started taking the UEFA Cup since they gave the winner a CL place...

If a change in attitudes had happened, Watford probably never get to the final and instead it;s Arsenal or Chelsea being bashed.

Romance is dead, no matter what way you slice it.

Wolves would have given it more of a go than Watford.
