Turned the game off. Let's all be honest, that 2nd half was awful.

Germany got their goal, sort of saw it out. Spain were poor. They had chances, could have ended it after 15 minutes.

England, Holland the best of the Europeans, and Holland looked very average yesterday.

    China, Korea, Thailand.....all unvaryingly woeful.

That japan are the best Asian side, male and female, would lend considerable support to the theory that it's all a matter of funding, but I doubt Korea, and especially China, are being careful with their money.

Korea did come within one body part of an equalizer today. Nigeria are just athletes. Not really great footballers.

    Neeskens was class.

Wim Kieft. What a cunt. Luckiest goal ever scored.

Ireland, little Ireland, were minutes from the semi final of probably the deepest tournament ever.

    8 teams.

    • Rep of Ireland
    • Soviet Union
    • England
    • Holland

    • Spain
    • Italy
    • Germany
    • Denmark

The holders, France, had FAILED to qualify. That's how deep it was.

No gash sides like Wales, Belarus, Northern Ireland, North Macedonia, Breakway This or Seceded That, etc.

Ever since then it's been easier and easier to qualify and you get to play some donkeys even once you qualify.

8 teams mate........real depth. That England side is one of the best sides to never win a game at a tournament.

Today, they'd be a lock for the later stages of any tournament.

I can't argue for or against. USA are the current favourites with the bookies. They're the current holders but they've never won it back-to-back. Only Germany have achieved that. USA have never won the tournament in Europe either and they are the only nation to win the World Cup in home soil. They seem the team to beat.

Same set up in 92 when Scotland qualified. Safe to say that was the last gasp of Scotland as a weighty football nation

I was watching a youtube video of a time lapse graph recently charting which European nations produced the most goalscorers in European club competitions - Scotland was top 3 right up to the early 90s. Ahead of spain, italy, france, the lot. Precipitous fall after that

Didn't know Scotland made it to Euro 1992.

ITalia 90.......should have drawn with Brazil and beaten Costa Rica, do either, and you make it OOT the group.

    Dire tournament that.

Think of how many of the great clubs of English football had Scottish stars... they were enormously important to the fortunes of those sides

Real Madrid have spent over 300 million in transfers so far and haven't sold a single player.

I hope every club now low balls the fuck out of them with offers while they try to recoup some funds.

We'll give you 50 dollars and a large pizza for Isco and Bale. Take it or leave it.

The French girl actually jumped in with two feet, didn't get the ball, and the Norwegian girl got the ball but her foot scuffed off it and scraped the French opponent......and they gave a penalty.......fucking stupid. VAR has the potential to wreck football, not fix it.

Norway being jobbed here. Total home town decision. Look, you don't just get a penalty because somebody touched you. It's either handball or somebody fouled you and never played the ball at all. Rubbish.

Anyone here tried "Harry's" Razors or other new stuff, not Gillette/Wilkinson for example??

They offer a trial packet for a few quid I might give it a shot.

I find that using disposable razors, you can shave with a dull razor if you lather up properly, but the beard grows back rough.

£3.95 gets you a razor, handle, gel, with every fresh blade only £1.95 a pop.

8 Blades is £15, free delivery.

Might give them a shot. I shave best when I've let it grow for a few days and then do a shave with a proper razor.

I wonder if Panchy might like these for his "Down There" trials :eek::eek:

Haven't tried it myself. I think there's something similar on this side of the pond called Dollar Shave Club.

To me I guess it depends on how often you need or want to shave. Being i have light colored hair i don't have that "shadow". I typically use an electric shaver for trimming and I just leave some scruff. It's even good to use before a razor shave if you want to get rid of some bulk first, and your razors won't dull out as quickly.

That's true, let it grow for a few days, take an electric razor to it, then soap her up and let the old Ripper Blade at it. Face like a baby's arse.

That's cos your skin is too fair and you probably have slightly ovoid follicles like a lot of Irish do.
