Celtic up 2-0 against the Benfica of Lithuania

This will be a famous victory

Not since Celtic 2, Barca 1 have Celtic supporters the world over felt such enormous pride

Things picked up after the first 35m or so but from a low fucking base. Side to side to side to side static as fuck. The young boy mick johnstones the only one willing to take a risk to create something, tierney and mcgregor again the only ones able to see a move ahead to create it. Lack of confidence, lack of willingness/desire. Dunno.

Looking better now tho, atmospheres picked up - a goal or two more might snap us out this thing a wee bit

Classic raumdeuting mcgregor for the second, thinks a second ahead, finds the space nobody else seems able to, composed, accurate final product. In European games that count he's integral to a ridiculous proportion of our open play goals. Not an eye catcher, no outstanding attributes to point to, but a smart operator in the (poor mans) Paul scholes mould. And always looks HAPPY when he score too, no surly fingerwagging cuntery. If we had 11 like him and tierney everything would be peachfuzz, sitting on top of the world

At least rangers got a slight whiff of glamour, we get 6 tricky games against teams from Skiing destinations and east Germany. Rosenborg!? 3 times in 2 years!

Ah’m only glad that Clough is at peace in his grave and no’ tae have tae ken that a son o’ Nottingham harbours pegging fantasies, like, Moustardo.

”We talk about it for twenty minutes and then we decide I was right.”

    - Clough, describing how Mustard at first disagreed with Clough calling him a twat that needs to die

“There’s a lovely lad here, about eight years old, who likes to hang abaht the team showers a bit too much for my liking. He asked me the other day if I thought he might have a shot at being a professional player. I believe in honesty and, most importantly, always being correct; so I told the young rapscallion that I saw his future more being abroad as a professional female knicker wearing tester. The lad seemed upset so I gave him a pair of Frank Clark’s underpants, clipped his ear and sent him on his way (hopefully, to Brazil).”

Clipping from ‘Nottingham Evening Post’, circa 1978.

Ronaldo up against his old club United in the champs league, Barca-Spurs and Liverpool-PSG...those are some eye-catching matchups in the group stage. I cannot wait.

If you're a Man Utd fan, don't go googling Young Boys, that could come back to haunt you...

Really hope Liverpool tonk PSG. Barca-Spurs is a match I've wanted to see for a while actually, either Spurs get torn to shreds or they step up to the next level.
