Looked it up, 97 would beat any points total from any previous season with the exception of City's from last season. Would be third highest overall if City win the title again this year.
They would want to score another because they're looking pretty disinterested and loose at the back at the moment
I know. Lovren. Fucking hell. I still have a bad feeling, could just be the weather over here, it's the same sort of weather as the infamous collapse in Crystal Palace.
Yeah I posted that just before the 3rd and L'Pool were just banging it around, very casual. I think that might be the end of Sturridge for Liverpool. A very disconsolate looking figure as he walked off there.
5-0 Lee Dixon just made a good point: Liverpools goals will come from their full backs feeding their full forwards. Case in point for anyone looking to smother us next year or even for Benitez next week.
It's pretty sickening, to be fair. In a 'normal' season, LFC would have already been handed the pennant. It's just their misfortune that they are competing against an actual sovereign nation, disguised as a 'football team'. Having said that, and with all due deference to Irish and '29 years of hurt' and all that jazz, I'd personally swap the league title for the European Cup. If LFC finish runners-up to Abu Dhabi but lift the Champions Cup, that's the better end of the deal IMO. Shitty would prefer to win the European Cup too, I'd wager. MTF
Yeah, City, their owners and so-called fans, want the big one. Liverpool are a domesting thing and the League Title is tied in with Hillsborough and Posterity more than the European Cup.
NUFC are safe. I'd be very surprised if Rafa doesn't put out a 'rotated' team for that one. He's got LFC running through his veins, that lad. It's one of those odd games where I actually hope NUFC lose. MTF
