Yeah they are. The lack of clean effective punching from Paulie and the lack of punching from Broner.
I don't think it was particularly close. I had it 9-3 myself. People have a tendency to give people rounds after they fall behind in fights just because they did slightly better than they had before. Even in Malinaggi's better rounds late(the 4th was the last round I had him winning), he landed effectively nothing of note and was still getting hurt with punches...and they had about equal volume in the fight. When you look at punches and one guy has nearly as many power punches landed as the other guy has jabs...it's indicative of the fact that the fight wasn't really close and pity judging at best made it closer on the cards of public opinion.
I can get with this. Sometimes you expect a guy to get smashed but he doesn't and we trick ourselves into thinking he is really doing a lot better than he is.
no, I just don't think he's as good as he or his fanboys think he is... He's worried too much about looking bad
Maybe, maybe not. I think Broner is a bitch, I'm not sure he would be prepared to walk through Khan's fast, rangy flurries enough to really put a hurt on him. He might freeze a bit like Zab did against Khan, or indeed like he did against Paulie :laugh11:
Terence is more of a meat and potatoes fighter, more old school. He doesn't try to be flashy. Broner tries and fails. And just a gut feeling, but I would bet money that Terence proves to have more heart out of the 2. I have a feeling that Broner feels he "doesn't deserve" to be beaten up ::
You guys were full of praise for Terence on another thread. I quoted you lot and we have a piece on Terence up on the homepage :bears: If I do one for Broner and quote you lot again it would be so comical ::
That's exactly what I said. That was one of the worst vocal performances I've ever heard, and the worst part is there wasn't even any music to disguise it a bit alm: I would love to piledrive that chode into bolivian.
i had it that way as well....but then it all went downhill from there I only gave Paulie one more round after that.....funny though the 4 rounds I gave to Paulie were convincing IMO Paulie had chances to win other rounds but Broner kept stunning Paulie or landing really nice shots when there was 10 to 15 seconds left in each round.....i think I gave Broner 3 rounds that way...makes me wonder what would have happened if he ran or jabbed at the end of those some of the rounds that were razor close
After 8 now I've got Broner 5-3 up. He's won 4 straight. His right hand being the difference. Since the 5th he's been more inclined to go after Paulie who still puts up a valiant effort, but Broner's landed the more eye catching shots.
I didn't realize Paulie looked out of the ring at Floyd during the 9th and was speaking to him :: My sober score - 115-113, Broner.
Paulie was definitely up 3-1 after 4 rounds. Bonehead only won the 3rd. Unfortunately I think I only gave Paulie one more round after that, to make it 8-4. I could see giving him another one though, for 7-5.
A few guys here believe Broner will get KTFO if he faces the likes of Matthysse. However, there's still that question mark over Broner's chin. How good is it. We just don't know yet. He looks solid at the weight and looks as if he can take a good shot.
Looks can be deceiving. Oscar has an excellent chin, Cliff Etienne has a crap chin. Then you have fairly scrawny looking guys like Pavlik, Tall Paul, Erik Morales etc, who have good chins. They look far more fragile than they are. Hopefully Broner has a Khan esque chin :kidcool:
