He might be but, as you say, that says a hell of a lot more about how fucking rank 147 is right now than about how good or otherwise gay brook is.

Of course he's top 5 at welter, but people are acting like he could compete with Floyd or Pacquiao. I thought you were one of them as I said.

He's nowhere near that level. He's half a level above Shawn Porter.

He deserves a shot more than Khan but I can't see him winning.

He'd beat the likes of Garcia, Bradley, Khan, Rios, Broner, Maidana, etc.

That's where you and I differ. I would pick Bradley over him, and Maidana.

Honestly not even that confident he beats Rios. I pick him because this shopworn 147 pound Rios isn't exactly great, but it wouldn't surprise me if even Rios beat Brook.

Sorry brother, but Welterweight is a fine division. It's Heavyweight you must be thinking of.

I think the SIZE difference would play a big part in facing the likes of Bradley and Maidana.

Bradley looks a little shopworn as well to be honest. I don't see the same Tim Bradley anymore. I refuse to believe that 3 years ago Bradley has that tough of a time against the likes of Jesse Vargas.

As for Maidana, we saw how he looked against Devon Alexander...

I think the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao beat Brook. Errol Spence as well. Fights against Thurman and Garcia are 50-50 I feel. But both Thurman and Garcia have shown vulnerability as of late.

Maidana looks like he's been having dinner with Susan Boyle on a daily basis but I'd still pick him to beat Brook.

Puerto Rock said that outside of Mayweather that Brook and Spence are the top two welterweights:

Which made me question both. Who in the fuck has spence fought? 25 years old, record full of C level opponents and below. Let's hold off the hype on that one for now.

And Brook squeaks out a decision over Porter and a couple of idiots on here (Xplosive for one) elevate this guy to a boxing god while saying Porter is absolute garbage (that makes sense.)

Brook is quite good, he isn't that good though.

Spence is class though, Cal is right in that his resume doesn't match the hype yet, but sometimes you can just TELL a guy is the real deal. Put simply, whether it's against a bum or not, he just does stuff most boxers can't do.

    I agree with Slice 100%.

Admittedly Spence has not fought any of the top guys at 147 himself. But be that as it may, there are things about him when watching him fight that lets you know that he is ELITE.

I personally hope he gets a shot at one of those guys soon because his talent does warrant it. He's a really smart fighter in there and I think he will get better and better all around.

With regards to Thurman, I just think he's a bad match up for One Time. I think it would be one sided and ugly.
