These boxers today are not as BIG as they think they are…Bud, Tank, even Canelo they need top level opponents.

They are not Floyd or Oscar they can pickpocket the casuals fighting Guerrero, Ortiz, Yori Boy, Castillejo of the world….

People always talk about Mayweather being undefeated, but I think his pay-per-view success had a lot to do with who he fought. Like his 2015 fight with Pacquiao did 4.6 million buys, but that's because Pacquiao is super popular.

Same with his 2007 fight against De La Hoya, which got 2.4 million buys. De La Hoya's popularity was a big reason for that. And in 2013, when he fought Canelo, it got 2.2 million buys thanks to Canelo's rising star.

De La Hoya and Canelo have always drawn big crowds on their own. De La Hoya had that star power, and Canelo is a huge name now.

So maybe Mayweather's pay-per-view numbers were really big because of the guys he fought, like Pacquiao, De La Hoya, and Canelo. I never felt like Floyd carried a ppv on his own unlike Oscar fighting the Castillejos of boxing.

Floyd n Oscar fought the big names in boxing…and sprinkle in the C level fighters.

Floyd fight vs Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana sold a million or close to it…so he did carry ppvs on his own. Sure those guy were bigger names than Yori boy or Castillejo but DLH could crack 500k ppv fighting those guys…

But whatever my point is both BUD and Tank are fuking up their moment….both came off big victories in spectacular fashion with huge ppv numbers….and instead of capturing the moment they proceeded to fight mediocre opponents or unknown guys that won’t push their popularity forward. Instead they tried pickpocket my sexy ass… nope..

DLH after Trinidad went on to Mosley had tune up vs Castillejo then Vargas…tune up vs Yori then Mosley again…tune up(he thought vs Sperm then Hopkins..sprinkle sprinkle…

Delahoya vs castillejo did 400k buys

    & 300sk for Campas & Sturm….so even Oscar couldn’t sell a fight by himself…

& Canelo still do paltry numbers(by his standard as the face of boxing) when the opponent are subpar…300k to 500k..

    Every1 needs a name to sell 1 million+ ppv…

No matter how good he is, Crawford is simply not a draw. He won't pull great PPV numbers unless he fights a marquee opponent

Watching some of Madrimov’s fights and I honestly think he’s gonna be out of his league against Bud. But would like to be wrong.

The rest of the card is great. Really excited for this Saturday.

So nobody gives Madrimov a shot? I haven't watched a lot of his tape but I did notice he is pretty creative offensively which I think can be key against Crawford. Obviously, Crawford is the favorite. And he looked great against Spence. But let's not forget his other fights, especially the Porter fight. Yeah Porter got hurt and ended up getting ko'd but not before having some significant success and winning several rounds.

As said previously, i wouldn't be too surprised by an upset. But as you, i haven't seen much of Madrimov, so my "pick" is not based on solid ground

Even though he was well past his best De La Hoya was the bigger draw at the time.

Bud could literally get old overnight, just like how Slow Joe Joyce did against an even older Chisora last Saturday

Against the Opposition He's Faced, Madrimov's Shown Enough Unpredictability, Athleticism, Strength, 2-Fisted Power and MOXIE to Make Things Interesting EARLY...REED Thinks It'll Be BOOM or BUST, FEAST or FAMINE and We'll Get a Pretty Clear Idea of Madrimov's LEGIT Chances Within the 1st Round or 2...

Madrimov Isn't Reckless, Yet He's Always Visibly TRYING to Win the Fight He's In...His Wild, Unorthodox Moves are Utilized AGGRESSIVELY, But They Also Leave Him VERY Open to Be Countered...REED Hasn't Seen Much, if Any More of Madrimov Than You Have, But He SEES What You See...

And if Bud's a Sizable Enough Betting FAVORITE, REED Couldn't/Wouldn't BLAME You for Putting Some Money On It....

first thought is madrimov is too low volume and takes too long to set. Unless crawford's suddenly shot i think he does too much at range for it to be close.

This card doesn't blow me away like it used to. I hate heavyweights, so for me it just comes to Bud-Madrimov and Pitbull-Rayo.

I was most looking forward to Tszyu-Ortiz.

Instead of boxing, they're going to have a pie eating contest.

I’m pretty stoked to see David Morrell and Andy Cruz return. 2 very talented Cuban boxers.
