damn i wonder who will be favored. so far it seems as though i'm the only one on this board picking calzaghe to win.

I think Calslappy will be the slight favorite.

kessler is younger, bigger and arguably hits harder. he's probably technically more solid, but calzaghe is more versatile.

i'm going w/ calzaghe, but i expect kessler to be the slight favorite.

    Really?

It's hard for me to imagine Kessler being favored outside of a few message boards (and in Denmark).

Well maybe it's more about the corporate $ over your side, but you often hear about footie players here and in Europe turning down more lucrative deals to in favour of moves to clubs were they can fulfill their ambitions, not their already swollen bank accounts.

let's face it, after a couple of eayrs these sports stars are set for life.

I am also picking calzaghe. Despite his pretty crap resume for the time he has been champ, he is still more proven than kessler.

    Calzaghe by domination

We will see what happens when Kessler gets hit in the face and often, he isn't ready for that

Calzaghe is favored as he should be considering the location.

Those pitter-pat:slap: punches Joe stopped Manfredo:rolleyes: with won't do shit in this fight. The best thing that can happen for Kessler is to get hit early by Joe so he can realize that this guy hits softer than most Lightweights. Once that happens Kessler eats the slaps to bully his way in and hurt Joe. :warning: This is a bad matchup all the way through for Joe:nono: It will be entertaining though. :cheer:

He got hit against Mundine plenty. He didn't really like it at times but he can handle taking a punch.

Fighting in Wales, Kessler better make sure he doesn't take two punches in a row or there's a high probability the fight will be stopped.

Your not alone Joony.I'm picking Calzaghe too,I just think Kesslers one of those fighters that needs cooperation from his opponents in order to look impressive/win.Calzaghe's not gonna give him anything,he's going to do the opposite of what Kessler needs him to do and I don't think he will(kessler) have a plan B too counter it.

    I sparred a guy who fought Spadafora,.....does that count?

Hey big guy, don't get too upset, just busting your balls:kick: I think Joe hits like a featherfisted pillowbiter. I'm not the only one who thinks this and I don't think even Joe's mom thinks he has punching power. Joe slaps much like Byrd does. Its rediculous.

:nono: Disagree with "more versatile" Joon, Calzaghe can struggle with bums if thier styles don't suit him, Kessler's worst performance came against a fighter with a horridly stinking style, containing that illegal shoulder roll shit in his repetoir, and he implemented that, with ducking low and turning his head simultaneously, just like Fraud Mayweather does:rolleyes: ,........but Kessler, who was rumoured to be carrying a back injury aswell, possessed a great ability to learn on the job and figured him out, premiditated where abouts his head would duck, and won by atleast 9 rounds, in Mundine's hometown, which is NOT an easy task, and against the rest of his opposition, Kessler's barely lost a round and has never struggled against anyone. Calzaghe has been through a few gruellers, against the likes of alot less than Mundine, who on his own stinking merit, is probably the 3rd best supermiddleweight. Calzaghe is breakable mentally, and Kessler's more versatile. :nono:
