I thought he won the third, he had four good round in a row before he got hurt with the body shot, and the 11th and definitely the 12th were good rounds for him. There were some close rounds and it was a close fight but the knockdown and the body shot later kept Pac ahead and in control.

It would be a big event but I think Errol has too much for him.

He's got those classic leap amateur winging punches, which will hurt if he plants the foot and lands in combination against a weak opponent. Pac completely neutralised his offense, mainly with his own right hand

Tbh I thought Thurman was starting to smack Pac around a bit until that big body shot.

Yep there were a number of quite close rounds but I'd find it very hard to give him more than 5 in any scenario.

Think so also. Still, I've been selling Pac short his whole career (bar the pbf fight, in which I picked him, lol). I'd like to see if the little gremlin can surprise us again

Thurman was a good opportunity for Pac because he’s purely an outside fighter that doesn’t know how to pressure or infight and he’s also been injured and inactive. Plus he’s kind of fragile.

Spence would beat him down unless he can hurt him. Even Keith Thurman took what Pac had and walked him down in spurts.

I hadn't seen much of Thurman at all so when the fight was announced I had a look at some of his fights and highlights.

Approximately 2.5 seconds after that I threw $100 on Pac to win.

I wouldn't pick him, but I wouldn't be terribly surprised. Again, who the fuck had Crawford beaten? And let's also not pretend that Thurman is the same fighter since the operations

And even then, who cares about what I think. Crawford is so unambitious that he'll never sign to fight a high profile opponent

    Thurman has regressed.

He peaked circa 2013-2015. He's no longer as quick/athletic now as he was then. Which is not good, cause he has no skill to fall back on.

Yeah. At least Thurman has a good resume. Crawford is just toiling away.

If pacquaio was confident he could beat Crawford as he was with Thurman then Crawford woulda beat Pacquiao 3 years ago

Yeah must admit he did look more crap/slow than I anticipated, but I still though PAC's craftiness would outdo Thurman's leap amateur winging punches.

Good job. I put $650 on Pacquiao by decision at +140

Tonight absolutely confirmed what's been apparent for the last few years... Spence would have stopped Thurman inside of 6. It would have been a gross mismatch.

Crawford wanted it, and what's more, Arum BADLY wanted it. Pac and Roach didnt want it.

I'm a huge spence fan, but he did show a lot of vulnerabilities in his only fight against a top opponent,

Brook was better than Thurman. No question about it.

Absurd to say the least. Thurman never lost to a Carson Jones level of fighter

He needs the money which is why he's still fighting.

When interviewed the reporter made the comment that Manny had a jet waiting for him because he needed to get back to the Philipines for his work as a senator. I'm sure it partially had to do with knowing the IRS wants his entire check.

Nice one, I got Pac to win at around +120 then the odds flipped towards Pac as everyone else worked it out too.

Manny fought a fantastic fight, considering his age and how he has been in late years. He is far from his prime, but we did see glimpses of that.

Also, Thurman wasn't as good as he was earlier in his career. Maybe it is the operations, or maybe he has lost his interest, but he seemed like a guy who hadn't done much sparring. His timing was bit off all night, and with a guy of his style, the lapses of timing greatly reduces his punching power.

If Thurman continues, he could still be a handful for stronger, slower welterweights, Manny's speed was poisonous for him. Styles makes fights, and shit
