    Yep.

I'd pay cash dollars to see any of those guys fight him.

They'd soon be revising their historical assessment of Senor Clenelo.

    "A bit" :Jest:

Let me tell you, Clenelo is not one ounce stronger than Anthony Yarde. Not a hope.

Im fairly sure that a lot of guys that nobody consider greats or atg could replicate what Canelo have done above 160. Stevenson for example probably would have beaten these guys even more easily and impressively than canelo did, and nobody say he's a great fighter.

What im getting at, is that the claims that canelo is an atg based on his recent performances are premature. It sucks for him that there's no great fighters at that weight, but I'm not ready to give him that much credit for dominating a very weak division. I'm not so sure that hes not the same guy who needed friendly.judges, or struggled badly, against ggg and jacobs

Plant fought well with a good game plan. He worked from within a good defensive shell and really gave Canelo no grounds to fire in that weird, crooked cross he likes. He didn't do too well offensively, as he literally did nothing but probe him with a nothing jab. I don't think Plant did massively better than Saunders, he just lasted longer and seemed to frustrate Canelo a little more. Canelo could set himself to throw vs Plant, but couldn't really land clean up until the finish, which seemed to annoy him far more than Saunders' movement. Neither were majorly successful in terms of winning rounds, although I did have Plant snaking more rounds than Saunders did. I think this fight shows both Ward at 168, and Floyd at 154, would always beat Canelo.

Yeah, there's a lot of guys who'd thrash these three.

For instance, take Nigel Benn. Does anyone think Saunders, Smith or Plant would survive an encounter with a prime Benn?

I would say that's harsh. If you can have any semblance of success against the best fighter in the world, you're at least a good fighter.

Plant and BJS are both good fighters. Nothing more.

Guys like Froch and Kessler were a class above "good."

And then obviously, Ward and Calz were HOF level fighters.

No point in bringing in Roy. Canelo obviously has no chance against the 168 Jones.

Yeah, benn probably whoop these three guys rather easily

Edit: retihinking about it, maybe bjs can take a page out of malinga book and wins a decision over benn, but o wouldn't bet on it

The only way any of those guys beat Benn is if he blows himself out in 4 or 6 rounds trying to kill them, and they take over later.

If Stevenson didn't beat that version of Kovalev it's because Kovalev wasn't being paid handsomely to flop over.

Im not so sure that.kovalev took a dive. Sure it looked really weird, but kovalev punch resistance.seems rather bad in his last few fights. He got hurt or koed by yarde, ward and alvarez, and among them, only yarde could be considered a puncher

In which case Stevenson could have done a number on him regardless.......... which puts Clenelos achievement into persepctive.

It's hilarious. They want to adorn him with laurels for being this little man who reigns at all weights, but they don't want to answer any questions about how........ he's this little man who reigns at all weights.

From what I saw, this us exactly how it went. People give way too much credit to Plant for negating Canelo

He might not have access to better gear, but I'm pretty sure he benefits from a Lance Armstrong like structure that ensure he doesn't get caught.

The stupidest prediction came from Ward Himself. Predicted a stoppage from Plant. Plant has 12kos and Canelo a sturdy chin. Wtf Ward???

I always laugh at ped conspiracy theories. For 2 reasons.

1)Yes Canelo tested positive for clembuterol whis is not the same as an EPO. But passed the hair follicle test which would show any drugs he took up to 6months prior to the failed drug test.

2)Since Canelo fought 4x in 11 months he is obviously the most Vada tested active boxer today. So you mean to tell me he has found a way to cheat every time? Gtfo

Lance Armstrong did. It took years of dogged dogged investigation {no, not fucking Oprah, I mean people like Paul Kimmage} to expose him.

Right now, the way I see it, you got people out there who for just enough money will write you whatever story you want, will compile dossiers, will compose fact sheets, times sheets, reports, you name it.

He failed one test when he thought nobody was looking.

He did not make that mistake again.

I have no problem one way or the other, I am largely fucking over the question of fairness or honesty in life.

I wouldn't say no chance. And here's why. Roy was never a textbook fighter. He broke all the cardinal rules of boxing like keeping his hands down to his waist pull straight back. He was so athletic(speed, power, reflexes) he never got hit. But later when he got older and couldn't rely of his speed and reflexes he started getting hit and knocked out. And it turned out he had a glass jaw. So I give any puncher a chance against Roy. Specially one that can carry his power into the late rounds like Canelo. Obviously Roy is unquestionably the betting favorite at 168.

How has any athlete managed to test negative for years on end only for it to be revealed later they were doping?

The one example that comes to mind {in boxing} is the paper-trail which damns them, a la Evan Fields on the BALCO list of phone numbers. And when they called and Holyfield answered..... :Jest:

The thing is the money is so mind-boggling massive these days, the entire affair is so monetized that it would be damn near impossible - especially with a particularly invested and incurious media- to generate that sort of heat in the first place.

Lance Armstrong used to really grind peoples gears with his attitude and he'd had cancer, lost his balls and all, it just didn't stack up. He was bullying people, generating real resentment and he stayed on it too long. Eventually the dam broke.

I don't want people to think I hate Canelo and want to see him busted.

    I don't, and I don't, per se.

What fucks me off is the entire Pro Wrestling, Kabuki Theatre about the entire farce.

Ive said it before and ill say it again, if clenelo willingly took clen, him and his teams are incredible idiots and .dont know shit about ped (hence making all these conspiracies ridiculous).

While i don't usually believe the excuses for failing drug test, it's seems pretty obvious that it was true in this case. Clen tainted meat is a recurrent problem in Mexico. If im not mistaken, almost half if the players in the junior world Cup were found to have trace amount of clen because of the meat

Clenbuterol found in most players at U-17 Cup

How do you explain his physique? The guy is in a sport which is in its very essence notorious for the catabolic nature of the training regime.

And there was one thing I wanted to add: I was very happy when he beat Saunders.

    1. Saunders is a knob.

    2. Saunders has a shitty style.

    3. Saunders had failed his own drugs tests {cutting weight}

    4. Saunders is a knob.

    5. Saunders said he would never quit.

I think he's on the gear, but i think that they are all on it.

As for his body, it's not more suspicious that a lot of other boxers. Mormeck for example was incredibly jacked
