Canelo vs Trout May 4 MGM

He's alright. I just don't think Trout is that good. Sure he beat a faded Cotto better than your fading hero Floyd, but that's neither here nor there.

yeah. maybe. happens more often than not that a big fight like this, on the undercard, gets cancelled or changed.

 

I think its a little to late for that now, Doub.

If this fight doesn't go through now, Canelo will look like a bitch and the boxing fans and critics will let it be known.

 

first, according to trout, the fight isn't even signed. so you better believe it's not too late. second, the promoter has to sell tickets. how does he do it? he does it (often) by lying about who's going to be on the undercard. and that's precisely what i expect to happen here. canelo fans will buy tickets to see their fighter take on a guy like trout, trout will get "injured," or pull out for some other reason, and the tickets will already have been sold. and that's that. happens all the time. can't think of any off the top of my head right now but there's been many instances like this only recently.

 

I think Trout will probably win, but

there's a chance he'll get caught with a hook

 

Alvarez will have to try and bait him and then hope to catch him

 

Once Canelo catches him he can't let him off the hook.

I'd be surprised if little protected Ginger fought Trout honestly.

I just read that the problem is that Floyd won't make a commitment to fight Canelo in the fall so Canelo doesn't want to fight on the undercard. Hopefully the fight will still happen even if it is on another date on Showtime/HBO.

to be honest, I'd be happy with any of these matchups. I'm far more worried with a Maidana being chosen as the opponent

 

Alvarez vs Trout is rescheduled for April 20 on it's own PPV card.
