You cant compare strikes when someone is standing and punching to strikes against someone that can take you down and G&P you. Its two different levels. Traz is right. Overeem just got beat by a below average striker in Borjanky. Please just stop.
WWE is where it's at. You're just upset because you realize any amount of WWE rasslers could come around with minimal training and still have a 50-50 shot at whupping any of your precious MMA boys.
carlos has like what 13 KOs in like 60 fights. Whatever man. Overeem has 29 wins. only 11 KOs. by the way, 11 losses too. Im glad you like Overeem. I hope you get to see him fight soon.
I know this is wasting my time because you;re just trolling, but other than Lesnar, and some guys at the very beginning, what Pro Wrestler has had success in MMA? Ludvig Borga got killed by Randy Couture. Bam Bam Bigelow got killed by Kimo. Sean O'Haire got killed by everyone. Bob Sapp has too. Dos Caras. Yuji Nagata. Giant Silva. Aaron Aguila. Pitbull 2. Sure, Lashley has beat up on some nobodies, but he hasn't done a damn thing. But like I said, I'm just wasting my time. TFK
Just checked Yahoo and the Cyborg-Carano fight was mentioned on the homepage. Yet there was no mention of the two boxing PPV's. Amazing how popular the chick fight was.
Names that are better than Overeem in Striking? Sure Melvin Manhoef Anderson Silva Wanderle Silva Rampage Vitor Belfort Machida Fedor
Thats because people were scared of the big Black giant. But when they realized he was just a big bitch, he start losing.
[ Melvin Manhoef Maybe Anderson Silva no, who is the last good great striker he beat standing. And no Irvin, leben and franklin doesn't count. He's stiil a great striker tough Wanderle Silva Ridiculous, he got beat by a fatso with only a jab in brazil (tough that was a million years ago) and now he's shot . He's nowhere near the level of overeem in striking. Technically he was always poor. Rampage No, he did beat a decent striker in cyril abiddi, but that 's nowhere as big as beating hari Vitor Belfort maybe, but I lean strongly toward overeem since he competed and beat much better striker Machida Wich good standup fighter he beat Fedor He would't last long in a striking match with overeem. He's a better fighter in all other aspect
So then other then Lesnar, who has an elite amateur wrestling background, freakish strength and speed and a huge size advantage...what pro wrestler other then a few in the early days has had success to justify your claim that any WWE wrestler would have a 50/50 shot at being succesful in the UFC. Oh...that's right....you were just trolling. TFK
Sapp's biggest weakness is he just can't stand getting punched in the face. And that doesn't make for a succesful MMA career. TFK
What does who you beat have to do with if you are a good striker or not? who has OVereem beat? Didnt overeem get knocked out by Liddel?
I actually forgot there was a boxing event on today and I'm a boxing fan.:dunno: Then again, who even gives a crap anymore about old man Roy vs shot Lacy? Especially on a ppv costing like 40 bucks. That fight is endearing to older folk. Gina's fights are more appealing to young guys who like to rub their balls. Basically Yahoo appeals to a young demographic. Why else do they have so many ridiculously stupid articles written by everyday joes about irrelevant junk that belongs in the National Enquirer.
That doesn't change the fact that there was apparently far more mainstream interest in a woman's MMA fight than 2 boxing PPV's. I'm not posting this to slam boxing. My point is how amazing it is that with only 16 MMA fights between them, Carano vs Cyborg had people interested. Odd.
What does who you beat have to do with if you are a good striker or not? who has OVereem beat? Didnt overeem get knocked out by Liddel?
Didn't Liddell get KO'd by Rampage twice, Shogun, and Evans and pounded out by Couture? Does that take away Chucks' striking pedigree?
What does who you beat have to do with if you are a good striker or not? who has OVereem beat? Didnt overeem get knocked out by Liddel?
it's easy looking like a good striker when your hitting punching bags, you should know this. And the lidell fight was at 205, he was clearly struggling with the weight, he was always gassing really fast. He wasn't on roids as much as now also
