CHARLES HATLEY...

He does look "Mayweatheresque" in his style of fighting with the wide stance, jab, and shoulder roll defense.

What really stands out here to me is the punching power and hand speed.

When someone has that combination going for him, he stands a chance to be very good if not great.

 

The POWER is his Biggest Asset to REED...Obviously, the Opponent wasn't Anything to Write Home About, but he was a True MIDDLEWEIGHT & Hatley is a WELTER...Hatley was Supposed to Fight Marteze Logan on this Particular Night, but Logan was Arrested on a Probation Violation...

No Other Welters Wanted it on Short Notice, so Hatley had to Find a MIDDLEWEIGHT....

Thurman thouroughly defeated Hatley when they last fought.

$3500 for an opponent for a 4 rounder is overpaying in current world. But that's what happens when it's last minute and your dude is mauling guys.

I recall that asshole promoter dishing out a tremendous amount of money on behalf of the Latin Legend..

Man, Dallas got TOO much money. Ya'll have 5 black tie shows a year, in Houston we have 1 per decade.. TIC.

CH probably beats all those guys..

I'm sure they fought other times, but these were the most important matchups. Good series, and the 2006 PAL final is considered one of best USA amateur bouts ever.

Keith is fighting at welter now, I assume Chuck is just at middle due to opponent availability? He's a true L.Middle? or can he get to welter?

 

Well, REED Admittedly DIDN'T See the Last Fight, so he Really Can't Speak On It...REED Isn't even Making Predictions on Hatley vs Thurman as Pros....All REED Knows is, it WON'T B an Issue from the Hatley Side of Things, N Terms of MAKING it Happen...Whenever, Wherever...

I think James DelaRosa would give CH some trouble, but he's been around for awhile now. O.Henry matchs up well too, but CH is ahead of the rest right now. My only question about Hatley is his chin. We all saw him go down multiple times in amateurs and that was with headgear, big gloves, short rounds, etc.. Big punchers often have the worst beards.. and the way he was missing those big haymakers versus Suarez would leave him wide open versus someone with more speed and power...

If you want Nelson Ramos, I'm certain they make the fight. He shouldnt be too big for CH. He was 2008 165lb TX GG champ. I dont think he ever lined up versus Chapp Huggins, but could be wrong. 2-0 now, out of Ringsters gym. Very strong kid, huge puncher.

Marcus is best in TX for sure. He recently signed with DiBella and has ShoBox scheduled for 10/2, and maybe local fight with A.Leonard/J.Prince before then.. Oh and his sister Kia is a BEAST. RSC1'd ChooChoo 3 times in amateurs..

 

Amatuer Scores Don't Really Tell the STORY of a Fight...Hatley's a GREAT Bodypuncher, but RARELY R Those Scored in the Ammy's...Charlie had Actually Veered AWAY from Bodypunching as Much, as a Result...But he's Back to Investing N them Now, as a Pro...

It'll B a GOOD Fight To See If/When it Happens....ALL REED is Saying is, there Won't B ANY Problems from the Hatley Side of Things, Accepting that Bout...Whenever, Wherever...

Charlie's Gonna Pursue TITLES @ 147, but Team Hatley would LIKE for him to Fight in the Low 150's Otherwise...But it's Getting Soooooooo HARD to Find him Fights, that Middleweights & SUPER Middleweights R Being Pursued &/or Fought....
