Yeah just saw these odds aswell. Bookies seem to think Henry doesnt have much of a chance. Whats the inside word Karl?

Dariusz did you see the total for Malignaggi vs. Ndou II? Under 11.5 rounds +451. Malignaggi beat the shit out of him the first fight and had him on queer street a few times, after that beating and his age I think its very unlikely Ndou makes the distance.

    I don't bet.
I work too hard for my money to piss it away, unlike some suckers I have seen here post on this board.
It is childish to bump a thread up from 8 months ago as well in order to gain attention for yourself here.
Someone went through a lot of time and looking through hundreds of back pages here on fightbeat in order to bump this thread from last year, that goes to show me that they have too much time on their hands and no real life interests.
As for the fight itself, we are going to just have to wait and see what happens now aren't we?

Actually, one just has to click on your name and they'll get a list of all the threads you've made. It would probably only have taken less than 2 minutes to find this thread.

Why be so defensive? It was a serious question.

I bumped this thread because Henry's name is up there now so we don't have to go through all this again. I am not seeking for attention, in fact I didn't even participate in this thread earlier as you might notice. I am guessing your real problem here is that you get the kind of attention you don't like. But you know what to do: sent a couple of PMs and it will be covered..

I am a bit miffed because I went through a lot of time and trouble for fightbeat on my own dime the Friday before last to that Press Conference as Carlos asked for volunteers to cover it, and bumping up a thread from last year in the event that Chris loses so people can make clever little "comments" on their keyboard towards me got me a bit "defensive."
If anyone here would have had the day I had going to take pictures at that event, driving clear across Houston (I live an hour outside of town) and spending a lot of money on gas and not going to work that day, missing a day's pay, you'd be defensive as well by this guy bumping this thread.
If Chris wins he wins, if Adrian wins, he wins, good luck to both.
That is my final word on this thread that I really "appreciate" this guy bumping it up from 8 months ago.

Yeah thats all good Karl. I was just wondering how Henrys camp had been in the lead up and how confident they were because the odds are juicy.

Val's been around for ages and he knows his stuff. Try disagreeing with his viewpoint instead of trying to attack him personally, Karl. It makes you look thin-skinned and reactionary as opposed to just debating his viewpoint, which would be an intellectual pursuit.

Whoops, looks like I should have said that last year  , but I wasn't a mod then. There were a few knuckleheads trying to stir crap with Karl as well. Hopefully this stuff doesn't go on as much now. :dunno:

    LMAO at this thread..

Karl, you got a free lunch and made it into a family picnic just to snap a few photos, so don't complain. I did about 5 video interviews and missed all the food, I'm not complaining. It was a priviledge to be there, just like it is every time we get to see them train and spar at Sav. C-ya at the bloodbaths tonite..

As for Henry's camp. I'll tell you what I know. They studied over 11 of Diaconu's bouts, because he's always on TV and is all over youtube. Reading Diaconu's trainer's comments, they dont know jack shit about Chris Henry. Henry has never been on major TV, and I actually pulled my fight videos off of the internet for this fight, leaving the Heyman ahniliation and the farce vs Franklin. They think Chris is a stronger version of Rico Hoye. They are in for a rude awakening.

They had a terrific camp. They sparred with Marcus Johnson many many rounds. He recently got that 2 min KO on a body shot on the Spinks-Verno internet broadcast. Chris also sparred with Eugene Hill, who's like a 50lb heavier version of Diaconu. I can't imagine that Diaconu hits harder than Hill. They rounded out their sparring with Don Mouton who's lookin for Karl for is recent comments. Don't worry Karl I think you can take him.
Eugene was a top ranked amateur and is lookin for win 10 tonite.

Henry will have a significant height and reach advantage, and the main thing they worked on during this camp is throwing straight punches down the middle.

Chris is a better boxer than people have seen in his bouts and Diaconu realizes. If he moves his head and gets out of the pocket after punching, he can win. But the consensus is that he's going to stand and trade toe to toe. This will make for a good war, and Chris can take a punch, but I've seen him hurt before and Diaconu will hurt him if he hits him unabated. I think that Chris survives their first slugging encounter and then boxes more and wins rounds before going back to trading again mid-way.

A revealing bit of info is that I dont think the Henry camp believes that they can get a decision victory. (Despite one judge being from Texas.) This means they are going to go for a KO. I dont' think we've ever seen Diaconu hurt before....

Anyway, Doss says Henry loses by KO, so that's the logical pick..

Mike is a friend of Chris and has close ties to his manager and team, Andrew.
We that are Chris's friends don't want to give Diaconu any ammunition as far as scoutiong Chris goes.
Both young men are fine fine fighters, and may the best man win.
BTW Mike: Doss also picked Freitas over Diaz.

the stinger drove clear across tejas and missed work to write an article (being generous) maybe 100 people read. you're a trooper, stinger.

quit crying, who cares how old this thread is. you were talking big shit back then. hyping this unproven kid, touting him to beat a world champion by ko.

are you backpedaling like neon deion now on those bold predictions? otherwise have a coke and a smile and stfu

in all seriousness, I like Karl and I think he is one of the few here that have ever had boxing gloves on
Orion was a big dude I think but had zero boxing experience as far as I know. Karl on the other hand is big and strong and has been in with legit boxing guys.. Karl would destroy him
